Do you have any experiences with cults (IRL or online)? What are some interesting cults you know about? Or just talk about anything relating to cults (no not x political party or whatever, I mean actual cults) The image of secretive people in robes meeting in the forests at 3 AM has always been appealing to me but every cult I've seen thus far has been new age hippies and protestant boomers who are too trusting.

>>84309313You need to be charismatic, nothing else really matters besides that. You need to pick up a demographic of people who are spiritual but not tied to anything and looking for a community. Then you lure them in, never going full cult mode until you're their new family and you have power over them (whether by blackmail, controlling their assets, or whatever). This is how every cult goes.
>The Tubbywubbybubitches are a particularly dangerous & elusive cult>They vacuum up the house that they play>They have tubby sundaes & tubby tubcakes>They worship an ANCIENT god that lives in the core of the sun>https://youtu.be/N2ICoo7Fwmk?si=FpiK86-MxtLLRVyw
I've been a part of ISCKON in my childhood and honestly it just amde me thik that this whole cult schtick is massively overblown and possibly a propaganda by mainstream religious institutions to undermine the possible rise of new religions. It was mostly wholesome stuff. Singing, dancing, free meals, writing poetry, dressing up dolls et cetera. There were no drugs, rapes, orgies or whatever, no giving up flats and such. The limitations of behaviours were pretty reasonable.
>>84309302True heaven only has room for 144k people, the rest of the true worshippers will stay on paradise earth. If you don't identify as part of the 144k, you cannot get a high-tier job in "the organization", but "falsely" claiming to be part of the 144k (or little flock) will get you branded as mentally ill. Idk, I like to research them.>>84309308grim
OP here, while looking for cults I came across one called diceorg which is apparently mainly full of gays/non binary people. right off the bat looking at the website i got the impression that they want to seem like a culthttps://dice-org.carrd.co
>>84309296Maga is a cult, so everyone in North America probably has had experience interacting with them in the wild. They do not live in reality, but a shared delusion created by insulating the cultists from real news and information by creating a media ecosystem that upholds that delusion. Maga was anti war until emperor trump declared war on Iran, now it has 85% support among Maga.
>>84309296Falun gong was pretty active where I lived.Pretty basic cult basically chink scientology based on a mix of genuine (but unoriginal) spiritual practices but you have to pay more and more as you go up and it gets more and more fucked up
>>84309410What are some higher-level teachings?
>>84309410I enjoy Shen Yun
>>84309411AliensFalun gong is the og buddism and hinduism and taoismParasite theoryAlso don't believe in all western medical science (lol)It's just like scientology at the bottom it manifests as probably a genuinely helpful and banal spiritual practice for a fee as you get higher and higher the organization they make up all kinds of scifi lore hidden behind tons and tons of donations for people who are addicted to """enlightenment""" exact same modus operandi as scientology
>>84309436TLDR its an exploitive and manipulative megacorp masquerading as a religion
>>84309296yea, whichever one took me to this place.
