When I was a kid I wasn't as sensitive as I am today. I was able to take edgy jokes, racist ones too even if it's about my race and I would usually laugh at them. Why is that?

How it has impacted your friends or who used to be your friends.I knoew someone who used to be pretty chill, a talented guy, over the last 5 years he's only become more racist, more insuffferable, he's become more and more obsessed with money and wealth, Most of my friend group is like this (I can't even really call them friends honestly) are like that. I'm sick of rich people treating poor people like shit. Rich people arej just poor people with money. They are not superior (neither side is). We should put people first at every decision, not business, not anything else.
