Most comfy is in the nude. I preferred that since I was about 15 but a few years ago when I was 35, my wife and I had a kid and around a year and a half she started sleeping in bed with us so I couldn't be nude anymore. I began sleeping in gym shorts because they were the only thing that let my junk not feel so constrained. But after a while the synthetic fabric started to really irritate my crotch so I had to find something else. Wound up just buying some very lightweight cotton sleeping shorts and they're working out okay so far. But now since our kid has started wanting to sleep in her own bed, I am hoping I can go back to the nude method.

I just have trouble commiting to stuff because of the NEET life and basically having nowhere to go and no one to be around except my Dad, plus my meds make me brainfoggy and i often just kinda fall asleep or forget. But in general i have a bit of a problem commiting to anything that is a chore and not a thing i enjoy. And i really dislike showers. I find them very unpleasant, the water hitting your skin, the hassle of drying my hair, because my hair is normally pretty puffy and full but when it gets oily it goes very straight. Before Mom left Dad and we had to move, we used to have a bathtub, and i would bathe like almost 2 hours almost every day, because i really do enjoy baths. Bathing is like a wellness thing, you just lay in water, weightless, warm water like a wet blanket around your whole body. Showers are just awful, and so i have trouble bringing myself to do it. It happens many times that i sit on my bed and i'm just telling myself "ok, let's go shower before bed, don't forget this time" and then i just kinda sit there, i start thinking about some video i saw or drawing, i lay down, i fall asleep. I just can't bring myself to it consistently with my own inside voice. The only thing that really makes me instantly feel the need to go take a shower and get clean is if my Dad comments on it. He is never mean about it, always very indirect like just casually asking when is the last time i showered or saying that i should change my shirts because it smells a little, which i know is not what he really means, he means i smell. I hate when this happens but it always makes me run to the shower instantly.
