Post if you love infpDear infp: what's your favorite >holiday>food>anime>Song>true crime case
mbtifags you realize how GAY this is...
I don't love Fi-groids, but it couldn't be said I hate them a priori either. Still, they are the highest on the "difficult to deal with" list, if I were to make one. Ni-groids absolutely don't compare, for one because it's usually in their best interest to learn how to communicate things, as opposed to the Fi-groid who can easily pride himself/herself in having their feelings unknowable to the external world.

>>84385981>holidayEaster. I don't like spending time with some of the family that we have to see at Thanksgiving(otherwise it would be my number one) and I feel weird about receiving gifts, so Christmas is out. >>84386269Perhaps because the thread isn't meant to be read only by you, and also perhaps because you have shown you never really got the 5 concepts in question. And also because if we are talking about Jungian psychology, people might think it's all complex and esoteric but the actual reality of the matter is that it follows the same principles over and over again

>>84385981I don't know if I am infp or isfp. I don't like true crime shit unless it is very mysterious and unusual, I just like mystery shit.I wonder why everybody hates this type, I thought it was one of the universally liked ones.
>>84386508>I wonder why everybody hates this type, I thought it was one of the universally liked ones.Which one, INFP or ISFP?Either way, it's the typical artist dilemma. People might like the art and praise the artist behind the production, but very often it's said they are disagreeable and cranky characters who you wouldn't want to have around.
Anyway, as of now it feels like I've got all the perspective, all the rules, and a good glimpse into what the dynamisms of Jungian type might look like - all according to the original text.Wrote down some opinions on the open questions such as type change or whether modern theories overextended on things like auxiliary functions/8 function models.More importantly, it's put into the framework it's meant to operate under: both in the sense of Jung's entire system of psychology, and let's say the "philosophical" principle of esse in anima. The latter confirms extremely well and puts a clear separation between the realm of psychic processing and physiological stuff - and especially what is exactly the layer of reality we are talking about. With all that said and done, guess what's left for me is to organize it somewhere just for the sake of having a point of reference - and then deep dive into other Jung-related stuff out of sheer curiosity.

>>84387830The best typological system is to do it by Myers Briggs letter binaries and as a loose approximation rather than trying to get autistic with it. Keep it simple. Also when actually dealing with people type almost never actually comes into my head since they're all unique.
>>84388331I've gone full circle myself, you could say.Basically going extremely autistic about it and reading the Jvng, and the conclusion is that, even if you don't personally do this, you are closer to getting somebody's type if you ignore cognitive function theories and indeed, do it by letters. Actual issue is understanding what the letters really mean tho, and I cannot spare you the reading here for how much I could try to.>Also when actually dealing with people type almost never actually comes into my head since they're all unique. In my case I don't even really think about it. Intuition does all the work, and then I check if that makes sense.
>>84388441The main use for this sort of thing is communication so what's most important is getting the same definition as other people. Smoothbrainmaxxing is extremely effective at this and in many ways learning more "correct" definitions can actually make it a less useful tool. We've all suffered from being tfw too intelligent at some point in our lives. Why you'd want to go more in depth is to make e"epic reads"of people and most of the time just learning about the person is going to be more useful. Maybe it's just a skill issue on my part and I'd really benefit from getting to know a lot about a moderately large number of people quickly at some point in my life. Being a manager for a high skill/highly co-ordinated workforce perhaps. But it takes aot for even that to go past needing the grug tier sensing is when you use your eyes stereotypes.

>>84388644It's relatively inoffensive and low stakes, the air feels fresh and hopeful, I prefer the color scheme to Christmas and I have lots of good/impactful memories around it.
>>84388504It goes without saying, and it's probably very expected, that I'm not very much of a practical person whose main goal is only "effective communication", that's a tool serving a purpose.Besides, stopping at the surface and trying to dumb everything down because no one wants to ever think about anything is one of the worst things I can conceive. At that point I'd ask myself instantly "why am I even here at all? where is the speculah?". The sheer lack of curiosity is much worse than anything socialfags eveer did.

>>84388947>I'm writing a book but it'll never get finished cuz im retarded and lazyYou should finish it anon!! And do tell more! What's the story like? When was the first time you thought about writing it?
>>84388968It's about wwiii . US and allies fighting China over global warming. But that's just backstory. It's actually more a slice of life type thing set during Halloween and Christmas . About someone who's been drafted into the army and but doesn't want to dieSo it's about his last few months before he's shipped off into the meat grinder But it's all surrealist and postmodern, so there's one section where a guy is dressed in a Halloween Costume as giacomo leopardi, but it might not be a Costume , it might just actually be him or his ghost or something I've been working on it for years but it's nowhere close to being done
>>84388999What a swell premise! The way you described makes me think of a story that would make me learn how to see the world through the eyes of the protagonist, to the point of being able to predict how he would react. And then suddenly, a vague ending, the ultimate test of how well I got to know him. I hope that you will finish it one day anon!!

>>84388504>>84388842Also wanted to add:I wish it was something as arbitrary as definitions. In reality the whole fundamental structure of MBTI/Socionics is easily shaken when you attempt to return to Jvng. Not getting into all the hair splitting here. And a second point that always bothers me is: If we continue to create and take part in threads about this topic, then it's fair enough for anyone to expect there might be people who still seek something out of it. Perhaps there's a strong disillusionment caused by engaging into inherently faulty and empty models that missed the mark... but then, why not making the effort to adjust the aim yourself? Especially when somebody else is telling you exactly how to hold the goddamn weapon, where to look, and especially where the mark is.
>>84387873Edgy crybaby
>>84388842I think there's enough things in this world that there's not enough time to dumb them all down even if you dismiss 99% of it as bullshit straight out. Things should have to compete for my attention rather than the other way around. I wouldn't call it a lack of curiosity, but more a trust that the world doesn't need my help to be interesting. I do need help when it comes to thinking hard though. I can't focus on anything.I still want something out of the topic, I just gravitate towards it in a shallow way, as entertainment and self satisfaction rather than something of serious study. Maybe one day I'll be convinced otherwise, or finally move on.

>>84389804At least that's a more honest position than usual. All I can say is that I find inherently fascinating how the claims within Jungian typology extend to epistemological validity, and point out at a problem of such nature. When you start seeing types as more than an arbitrary behavioral classification, or a fixed model for something as volatile as "personality", you finally understand why the discovery has a very significant worth.
MBTI thread's dead so I gotta go here I guess... Any friendly and gentle INFP or ISFJ anons that want to be long-term buds? Preferably if you're a euro 20-something weeb with no self-esteem
>>84392258>MBTI thread's deadIt's not needed, you can discuss MBTI without it being the "official" MBTI general, and it might be better since sometimes it manages to keep away /mbti/'s reggy culture. Also, dare I ask why you need your anons to be specifically with "no self-esteem"?
I thought that this was the /mbti/ thread, was there another one up?
As far I'm aware, there wasn't another up concurrent to this. I think anon wanted to say that it's technically not the MBTI general(or /mbti/), but just a casual thread discussing the same topic without it being tied to the former.
>>84392258I'm 29, a britbong and my self esteem is far too low to take anyone up on this kind of offer. Maybe if I had a clearer picture of you as a poster or what your intentions were.

No need to believe me if you're skeptical, 4chan users are terrible people that manipulate a lot. I assume that has happened with several /r9k/ dudes and they got used hard and then discarded immediately afterwards, I don't like this board at all, I just sometimes go on it to see what's up with /mbti/.>>84392427Hmm, 29 you say. Or did I Jung it up so hard I straight manifested the entire Feeling function into a different person? But fucking around aside, yeah same on both accounts. Only reason I even bother checking r9k is specifically for MBTI and typology-related threads, very rarely psychological ones also pop up.The kind of "thread personality circlejerk" culture that often gets started in "generals" is something I never vibe with, and far too many times it coincides with their perfect decadence. Anons really like to pretend the prevalence of such a culture does not in any way damage the integrity of the topic being discussed, but to that I answer that it's merely a lack of experience on their part at best, or an intentional deception at worst.
>>84392801>Are you me? Or did I Jung it up so hard I straight manifested the entire Feeling function into a different person?I don't know, you tell me, haha. I'm still not sure what's my type.
