How are normies able to work 9 to 5 or 9 to 6, 5 days a week for 50 years? I don't get it. If I had to do that I think I'd blow my brains out.

Peer pressure is a hell of a drug, as you can see from how many normalfags are here these days and how they try to enforce their norms on us.

When I'm at work I just think of the dead time I'd be wasting at home browsing 4chan or mindlessly scrolling
Like if you took that time and compressed it into a single block it's probably about 8 hours a day

if you have a good job it doesn't suck is how.

we're constantly buying new toys for ourselves to justify our enslavement.

my dad is 67 years old and he still working at his office job.
it's like mental illness that he gain in his late 20s with mid 20th century capitalism boom after WWII.
workaholism is scary scary illness that for very very bad motives is pushed upon the populous.
probably was the main reason I was neglected and abused in childhood because of my dad being a workaholic.

>if you have a good job it doesn't suck is how.
I refuse to believe that more than 10% of people have a good job

only foids, jeets, faggots, and kikes get good jobs anymore.
>>
>>84395979
And they don't appreciate it at all. They make 6 figures doing absolutely nothing but sitting at a desk and still complain about how hard their lives are.
>>
>>84395964
its mostly just stockholm syndrome. it actually works in reverse. most people believe that their work *doesnt suck*, and that they actually *like* it because they really have no other choice than to force this belief on themselves because if they didnt, they would have to acknowledge the fact that they are essentially wasting upwards of 80% of their lives doing something they at best dont really like, or at worst, hate. same with people who become parents

Not all of us have rich families or live in the EU.
>>
Idk, zero chance I keep doing what I'm doing when this house is paid off.
>>
it's easy, time just goes by because you're doing things. I even come in some weekends. I love my job.
>>
>>84395842
I mean if you look at them theyre barely held together with glue and coffee and cigarettes and alcohol and and and yeah, just meatslaves for their overlords to generate more revenue than yesterday and once they slow down the company races for a way to get rid of them
>>
>>84395842
>Why do people want to afford nice things, a family, travel and have financial stability
>>
>>84396034
This, don't believe their gaslighting, normies are barely keeping it together, a lot of them are straight up using PEDs for their jobs that they "love so much"
>>
>>84395842
must vary by person because i have a pretty sought after career and i think jumping off the building everyday i'm there. Some people love it
>>
Slack off, pretend to be busy, make some friends at work, go out for drinks after, get your paycheck

It really isn't that bad. The alternative is bed rotting, which is mindnumbing.
At least jobs give you something to do
>>
>>84395979
dont blame gas station workers that dont speak english for your own failures kek
>>

Why are they here dropping the wage rate for natives when they could be building their own country?
>>

I usually go into the bathroom and jo in the stall during my lunch break
>>
>>84395997
i actually got an office job where i do literally nothing all day and its fucking agony because i cant play games or be on my phone so i just fucking sit and stare at my monitor and pretend to work and its genuine torture.

you start going insane after sitting there doing nothing that long that repeatedly that many days of the week
>>
>>84396305
>Slack off, pretend to be busy, make some friends at work, go out for drinks after, get your paycheck
its fucking hell for me. i just sit around all day and stare at the wall. i dont like anyone i work with so i just want to get out ASAP. its honestly agony
>>
>>84395842
I haven't worked a job since almost 2 years now because I had a psychotic break and almost killed myself for the exact reason you're pointing out. I have no idea how I'm going to live outside of being homeless soon
>>
>>84396305
Hard disagree, minutes feel like hours at work

Meanwhile days off end in the blink of an eye even if I was just scrolling/gaming/fapping all day
>>
I work 9-5 because I have to, or I'd be on the streets. I do pretty much nothing all day, but the money is okay.
>>
>>84395842
better question is; how the fuck am i supposed to fit working out time into my inconsistent schedule without completely giving up all of my free time. not to mention that my legs and my arms are also sore as fuck as soon as i leave work.
>>
>>84397860
Just doing light workouts for 30 minutes to an hour is enough. Unless you are extremely fat you don't need much more than that to maintain basic fitness. If you are then yeah you're not going to have free time for a few months until you get your weight down. Then you can go back to normal. If you want to be super buff then that is a lifetime commitment. That requires a lifestyle overhaul like getting a job that forces you be physically active.
>>
>>84397860
If you're suffering from inconsistent shifts you have 2 very simple choices
Either quit, or shit the fuck up

I stopped working as a security guard, I was ruining my back, my knees, my hips, standing like a retard on hours on end, overtime, incessant night shifts and holidays, putting myself in danger only to never be appreciated not just my employer but the very fucking staff working in the businesses I was guarding

So I quit and am now working another job, one with a consistent schedule, responsibility, authority, and importance
>>
>>84397951
You fags are worse than desk jockeys when it comes to the entitlement and whining.
>boohoo I have to stand all day
THAT'S YOUR FUCKING JOB!!!! You are quite literally getting paid to stand/walk around and do nothing. You don't even have to pretend to do anything. 99.9999% of the time, nothing happens. If they were expecting something to happen, they either wouldn't be open or they'd have actual police presence. No one expects you to actually do anything besides be a decoration that makes the customers feel safe. The staff has no reason to respect you anymore than they do the old rusty fire extinguisher in the back.

Any feelings of frustration or existential angst are mediated for normoids by the act of passionate, condomless sex which serves as a pressure release valve.

>ow are normies able to work 9 to 5 or 9 to 6, 5 days a week for 50 years?
The alternative is being homeless and miserable and getting zero pussy.
>>

Basically they hate life. If they were to be NEET for a year or two they would go mad, they'd get bored and depressed. Time would pass too slow, they would feel each hour pass by in agony. Thinking would be self destructive. They want days to pass by in a flash, they don't want to think. Being busy is the key, it is relief from the human condition, because they are too afraid to face it.

Another thing to notice is that they actively shorten their life spans. Normies who work a lot, also smoke, drink and get fat if their work permits. They want to die, even if they may not be consciously aware of it, because they are too busy to think.

this is my 6th month working 9-5 (more like 8-6 because of the commute) and i wanna ack myself so bad

today feels like heaven because this is the first day they let me work from home due to special circumstances

im not sure the fact that i have absolutely nothing to do at work is making it better or worse im more inclined to believe if i actually did something useful id get satisfaction from it and feel like my life isnt just being wasted away for nothing
>>
>>84398551
Good post but what do you do then to enjoy life in contrast to working and lobotomy
>>
>>84397860

I do nothing and I'm content with that. The Buddhist monks got it right. Life isn't about enjoying it or finding happiness, it's about being content in the moment. Nobody ever achieves happiness in life, by trying all you get are ups and downs.
>>
>>84395842
Most normies are horrifically stressed and depressed. Most people are on some type of crazy pills these days, SSRIs, whatever. If not, they are alcoholics or weed addicts. Boomers toughed it out because they at least got the rewards of a house, wife, kids etc. I don't see millenials or gen z doing a 9-5 for 50 years, not that most people can secure a stable 9-5 anyway.

But yeah, employment is hell. Get as many NEETbuxx as you can now if you are in a nation that has a welfare system. Go get ADHD, Autism diagnosis etc and get the bag.
>>
>>84395842
>How are normies
not a normie
>able to work 9 to 5 or 9 to 6
you get a decent job with a good work-life balance and flexible times, if you can. or you do something you really, really are passionate about. that makes you feel good.
>5 days a week
doesn't have to be. best jobs are always partial work from home. If you have an office job and you have no work from home time/opportunity, you're working at a wrong place.
>for 50 years
you don't have and/or you don't work for 50 years. Look at you, faggot, 35, you never had a job, so what are you bitching about? At most you'll probably ever work for 35 years.
>I don't get it.
because you don't know what a good/comfortable job is. You inexperienced faggots always think that a 9 to 5 means working from 9 to 5. No. Esp. not a good workplace. It's just timestamps. What you actually do is a whole different story.
>If I had to do that I think I'd blow my brains out.
women be yapping all day at our offices, even while processing paperwork. most men listen to audiobooks/radio/music/youtube/whatever the fuck.

TL;DR: Being at an office 9 to 5 doesn't mean working 9 to 5. If you're a slave who can't blink without permission, then you're working at a wrong place and it is your fault for not getting a better job.

I recently got hospitalized and had to have part of my intestines removed so I wouldn't die, and as much as that sucked, it was still a more enjoyable period of time than any other in the past decade, because I couldn't work. I don't even see a point in trying to get healthy after my upcoming corrective surgeries either, all that means is I work more and suffer longer on my way to death. I'm still smoking cigarettes and I'll probably pick up heavy drinking again when the surgeries are finished up. I'm hoping they accidently kill me on the operating table this time, because I've had enough of this nightmare, and I don't want to deal with any more of this meaningless, cruel daily grind.
