hello anons. im struggling with a bit of a hurdle at the moment. i've interacted somewhat positively with a person that i like quite a bit, however they triggered something in one of our recent interactions that made me completely shutdown. i do not wish to see or talk to that person any longer. what would be the best approach to this? is there any way to make this not hurt the other person as they've also mentioned "liking me" in this recent interaction. the feelings are no longer mutual. thanks!
Being honest is generally the right option. Think about it from the other direction - wouldn't you be hurt and confused if they just suddenly stopped talking to you?
