I'm collecting all the phone numbers of the parents of all my childhood friends so when I kill myself they will know how I fucking miss their sons and how much it hurts that they abandoned me. I have been in isolation for 10 years, I dream about them every night and I know my death won't make any impact on them and they will just move on the next day but their boomer parents might get traumatized and that's enough for me.

I was in a very similar situation to you (dreaming about the friends I hadn't spoken to in 5+ years), and on a whim decided to send everyone I once knew a message, basically just saying hi and that I missed them. All but one person messaged me back wanting to reconnect. Idk what led you to being isolated for 10 years, and ig if they all dropped you this wouldn't really apply, but it wouldn't hurt reaching out before offing yourself :)
