how are you even supposed to make friends nowadays? i feel like everyone just keeps to themself or with their already defined groups. its so mind numbingly boring sitting here and nothing. i play games sometimes but its just boring solo

I think if you're charismatic enough you can make friends naturally but actively looking for friends isnt something adults seem to do. I think you really just need to keep old friends from school and if you werent able to do that then its basically over
