I build, make and repair shit as a profession but those "40 mins to build" things are sometimes bullshit.
Once you kinda understand how things usually go together you know what to look for and it gets easier.

don't worry, everybody starts once somewhere.
a tip if you ever try to make some kind of IKEA furniture or similar is to lay all the pieces neatly on the ground so you can see what you have more easily. Also, work over the cardboard of the thing so you can avoid scratches on wood or plastic. The worst thing is when you finish your work only to see some big ass scratch in a frontal part or a broken corner.
