Even though the writer was a pagan, and consented to the persecution of Christians. I think Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is beneficial supplemental reading for Christians.
Particularly on those things Paul encouraged Christians to do, he gives specifics on these. There's some pagan stuff and philosophy stuff, you can just sort of let it go in one ear and out the other.
