What happened to the vocal atheist movement from the 2000s? If you visit r/atheism now it just sounds like lesbians who will start crying whenever they get mansplained about anything they want to have a pissing contest over.
>>84433422If you hate God, you'll eventually become a homosexual, like it says in Romans 1.
>>84433437did all the athiest get AIDS and do nigger crimes then die/go to jail?
>>84433422They got memed out of existence and had their balls cut off by intersectionality. "Rational science" was sacrificed on the altar of progressive identity politics. It became thoroughly verboten to say mean things about Muslims or Jews, and if you start just attacking one group (Christians) then people will just feel like you are attacking white people. Progressive shit tests like transsexual identity also made it impossible to be taken seriously. Using hard science and evolution to dispel the existence of God then saying "and actually biology doesn't exist and men can be women and everyone is exactly the same except for when they aren't but they are except for the times that they are different" just makes you look, well... cringe.
>>84433462the dark age of inclusivity, where you may only beat your own gay drum and cannot comment how gay anyone else is.
the big thing was the muslim issue. shit talking muslims publicly is really really dangerous because they want to kill you and the public figures cucked out
>>84433476>>84433477It's also because of race and sex. The primary, obvious position in favour of atheism is that we know evolution occurs in all living things, and makes living things more adapted to certain environmental pressures. Well, if God isn't real, then all men are not created equal, and tabula rasa is a false concept. If all men are not created equal, and humans are affected by evolution, then some groups must be better at certain things than others. If some groups are better at, and more suited for, certain things, then other groups must be... well, worse at those things. If those groups are worse at certain things that are necessary for a civilisation to exist and function, then, well, you know, we start asking awkward questions about those groups and their position within civilisations. This led to a lot of deeply uncomfortable ideas and divisions in the New Atheist communities. You can apply this same issue to the sexes as well. The primary position became "actually evolution stops at the neck because the brain is magical and everybody is exactly the same".
>>84433422It always was a cringe teen movement, most of them just grew up, the rest are on r/democrat.
The trend is being "trad" now
>>84433531how do zoomers act traditional if their parents have no culture except hedonism?
>>84433437How can you hate something that doesn't exist?
>>84433544You're extremely stupid if you cant rationalize that
It was always cringe. They now just hide it instead of being an annoying twat by interjecting every few sentences that they are an athiest. Also, same rehashed arguments that have been btfo such as:>muh mix fabrics!!!OT ceremomial law, not moral law.No one cares if you are an athiest except ones that still live with their christfag parents. Just don't be an insufferable one.
>>84433422ppl realized you could just be "spiritual"
>>84433422They all have nothing in common with each other and the only thing binding the community together was a dislike of the same thing. You can't build a lasting community on that. It also turns out that arguing with strangers on the internet is a complete waste of time. You can't use reason to talk someone out of a position they didn't use reason to get into. Even if the movement was successful, there would be a lot of suicides because those people need God to not kill themselves.
>>84433422>Read the god delusion>Talks about being brave like the people behind the gay pride movement>They seem like pissy lesbians nowMission accomplished
the 2000s wave of atheism was only big because it had an enemy in george bush and evanglicals, with him out of office the whole thing no longer had a reason for being
>>84433875what religious stuff did GWB do? I just saw him start the war on terror and killing muslims, that most americans agreed with.
>>84433422there is not atheist movement, you brainwashed mongoloid. fuck off back to your r.
>>84433875That kind of enemy exists but in the form of israel, but now people are retarded enough to fall for islamic propaganda so all the same people are backing retarded barbaric muslims instead of being atheist just because "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" or some shit.
>>84434093did you have a seizure midtyping this
>>84433875Essentially this. It wasn't an atheist movement so much as it was an anti-Christian fundamentalist one, and it succeeded at challenging those people. A lot of the important figures on both sides of the aisle are still around and having the same kind of debates. William Lane Craig is still active.
