One example where I managed to do something is my appearence, where I try to always stay with some facial hair to at least be acknowledged as an adult (I'm not sure if this really works generally, but I at least never had to use my ID to buy cigs/alcohol). Another example I can give you is the story on how I started to officially drink around my family, where I just had to take the initiative to ask for a beer to the waiter and started drinking it in front of them as if that was normal. As you may have imagined, they got surprised at first, but normal it's a common knowledge that I drink (it still makes me a little angry that I had to wait until 18 to do so while my cousins were drinking in family parties since they were 17, but it's life).
