Do you guys make a decent wage? I get paid 39.23 USD per hour (before taxes) to be a night shift supervisor in a medical laboratory at a 600+ bed hospital in the American South.

In most labs, MLTs do literally the exact same job as MLS' do. You'll never be rich as an MLT, but you will be firmly middle class and will have a career that has infinite job security since the demand for lab personnel is 1000% greater than the supply. You'll never see a patient unless you work in a rural area where they require you to do phlebotomy and there's very little "work politics" if you avoid dayshift. I just do my job and go home. I send and respond to emails as little as possible.
