Cut out sugar and processed foods soaked in seed oil like pizza, these foods feel like 1 portion or a snack yet have more calories than a cheeseburger. You can compensate for sugar cravings by drinking green tea, you basically have 0 calories yet you feel like you just had some candy. This is the easiest way to drop your calorie intake, though to actually lose weight you need to make a real commitment. You have to count calories and tell yourself "I'm actually doing this, this is my life now". As opposed to dabbling in it like before.Don't starve yourself, aim for 1000 to 1500 calories and stick with that. Get adequate vitamins, fiber and protein, in other words eat beans and pop vitamin pills. Learn how to season your beans, oregano, rosemary, chilli powder, seasoning powders, garlic, onion, peppers, better freshly chopped. There are other foods with high fiber, high protein and a low glycemic index, but beans are a common food item, easy to cook and if you squish them or boil them until soft they absorb sauces better. I'd avoid mixing with rice or other "starchy" foodstuffs. Just a dash of spices, onions, garlic, pepper and maybe some canned sardines, in spring water not oil obviously.

The problem is that you are fighting your natural hormones. The human body has hormones like leptin to tell you when you are full from protein and fat. There is no such hormone in humans to tell you when you are full from carbs. Carbs hit the same cell receptors as drugs.
