Growing up, people bullied me for being "ugly" (their words). It took me years to rebuild my confidence after high school. Now I'm 31 and still can't find any friends or get a girlfriend. What the fuck is going? I',m employed and in good shape, but I'm still as invisible as ever. I can approach and talk to people just fine, but it never goes any deeper than that.
They were probably right. You should become pretty.

Everybody 20+ is struggling badly to make friends is not you.People now have this shitty distrust that takes a lot longer to break, so usually your friends end up being mostly ex coworkers, people that you spent a good chunk of time with in some form.
Most people are spiritually dead and not worth getting involved with. Embrace hermit life or join a small group of likeminded individuals. Society as we knew it is gone.
>>84439708I'd be dead by 65 if I did that, so that's not an option. Only way I can fix my mental and physical health problems is making friends. I've had chronic pain and sleep issues due to loneliness since my mid-teens.
>>84439721You are killing yourself nigger. What are your interests/hobbies?
>>84439721You need to find a way to stop being so dependent on others just to exist. It's extremely unhealthy. And no, the only way to fix your mental and physical health problems is to fix yourself. No amount of friends or lovers will heal that. I'm not saying this to be mean, you just need to understand that chasing validation and belonging is the surest path to suffering.
>>84439767That's not how humans work. We need companionship for optimal physical and mental health. Our ancestors lived in tribes for a reason. The human brain is not designed for isolation. That's why isolated people go insane.
>>84439811Depends on how strong or weak you are mentally and spiritually. Shamans, hermits, and sages have always existed, living on the fringes of society or outside it completely. Shepherds, hunters, and frontiersmen have always done their thing way out in the wilderness.
