I have to write my philosophy thesis, so I sit down to read, get bored out of my mind 5 minutes in, think "I gotta read like 10 books and every 3 hours I just read like 10% of one" and then get really tired and doze off. What's the solution? It's like a videogame where you just read instructions all the time and never get to play.
What's your thesis on? I wish I could have went to grad school for philosophy
>>84442719u can always use audio books n attempt to multi task XDDDDDDbut its really hard c:
i couldn't imagine anything less meaningful than having to study philosophy in an academic setting, since this is very contrary to how actual philosophy is generated. I doubt that serious philosophers found themselves in a situation where they forced themselves to study material they didn't find enjoyable or interesting, to then construct a philosophical thesis. It seems like a very inorganic, mechanical, and fascist way of being forced to do something against your true will....Drop out.
>>84442779I know. I'm just doing it as a status symbol to get girls or whatever. Can't be an old man without a degree you get laughed at. You're right it is painful in a sense. Though to another interpretation it's like you studied so much shit and it's time to put it to the test. But I think that's just normie brainwashing. I think you're right. But still gonna do it as a status symbol. I already went through 4 years of a useless degree I may as well right 50 pages and call it a day. Maybe I can just cheat and use AI and write some slop? That would be a good middle ground, I suppose. >>84442778Yeah Audio books are good. I maybe should because it just feels like herculean and like 4 hours of study to get like 5-10% done of a book is just pointless but I don't know.
