Fullmetal alchemist is the biggest piece of turd I ever watched. I have watched other worst anime too, but at least they were short. I don't remember a single scene, single character story or plotline. Everything is aimless, bland and boring. A battle anime (only beaners say nekketsu) revolves around the protagonist and the side cast fighting progressively stronger opponents and developing new techniques/forms/powers/etc. In Dragon Ball Z Goku fights Raditz, then Nappa and Vegeta, then Ginyu, then Frieza, etc. and the plot exists to move him from fight to fight. Same with FotNS, Kinnikuman, JJBA, etc. It's basically animated wrestling. I haven't watched FMA but it's presumably an adventure anime, like HxH is. Based on a plot synopsis it looks like Edward's goal is to find the Philosopher Stone, not defeat a villain; it has action but that's included in the adventure package.
