Do you guys think the internet will ever become fun again or is that time over for good?
depends on what you are doing on the internet but in general its definitely gonna go even more down
It's gotten better since Elon bought X.
>>84457617I never used Xitter, but I have the suspicion a lot of anons migrated there
>>84457589half the internet is third worlders, low iq folks, ai, bots, burner accounts, etc.no shit is perma fucked.
hot take but i think the internet's at the inflection point. it's getting shittier more slowly now and eventually it'll turn around and become a comfy nerd place
>>84457589if social media disappears then the internet will become good
>>84457633>third worlders, low iq folksa bit redundant, no?
>>84457589over for good. but, there will be better digital spaces, offline even. Like your own bubble, with your personal AI, tailored specifically to you.
>>84457589no, its done. third worlders and turbo normies got on it and ruined it. it was only good when it was considered geeky
>>84457656>Like your own bubble, with your personal AI, tailored specifically to you. That kinda sounds lonely desu
>>84457627Doubt it. The bots are worse than ever and the whole "comedy is legal" bit is complete bullshit because you still get suspended for mundane things like telling someone to kill themselves
>>84457641You're on social media, lad
>>84457675sounds good to me. I'm not a normie who is not capable of getting through the day without talking to somebody else.
>>84457727not a social network thoughever
>>84457589There's a growing retro/indie web movement of people making classic 90s/early 2000s style sites on neocities and other free website hosts. I haven't delved into it much but what I've seen from yourube vids looks wholesome and nostalgic. I miss websites and internet communities that weren't designed around social media, engagement baiting, doom scrolling, and data farming. I miss honest and passionate communication.
>>84457727spiritual indian response
>>84457763do you have any links?
>>84457763There's a growing retro/indie web movement of people making classic 90s/early 2000s style sites on neocities and other free website hostsI wonder if it feels organic or if it's mostly tryhard aestheticists at it again
>>84457589nah. unless someone makes a completely detached internet from the current one. the one we have is just going to be increasingly more and more censored and boring.
>>84457727i was assuming you could tell that i was talking about instagram and tiktok
>>84457781nope, but if you search about it on youtube a lot of them will have links to their recommendations. I think there's also a site where people can list their retro and indie web sites, but I don't remember what it was. Just google around.>>84457847>I wonder if it feels organic or if it's mostly tryhard aestheticists at it againWhat I saw was pretty normal looking. I think people are going more for indie side of things than the retro side, it's just that homemade websites just feel retro because shit has been corporate owned and fake for so long
it is better now
>>84457847It's mostly shallow, done for the sake of it above all else, not for any purpose beyond itself, unlike what it tries to imitate.
>>84457930I know what you meant, but you're retarded because there's no meaningful difference between this site or that. This is just your insta, tiktok, xitter, etc. The idea that one or more of the others not existing would make this site better is, well, retarded.
>>84457984To be fair, many old sites never had any purpose
>>84458182>there's no meaningful difference between this site or that. This is just your insta, tiktok, xitter, etcpinterest is a great site
I like it more than ever due to the amount of information available. It's what the internet should be about. Everything else makes it absolute shit.
>>84458497they want to take that away from us
>>84457589every day on the internet is the best it will ever be because it will only get worse tomorrow
>>84457589No, because of phones. The internet was decent when it was mostly for desktop PCs. Phones ruined it and it's irreversible.
>>84457589It's fun now.Just not here. And not on your smartphone either.
