It takes years of effort to be a decent artist, moreso a decent animator, and the fact you can do both means it can open up doors for you. In this modern age you don't even need to move for it you can just do storytime animator stuff (as an example) and network through the internet and possibly rake in money that way. The indie scene is huge. Like I think I would love to stay at home and draw and get paid for it. Only drawbacks is I would need to remember to exercise and do proper wrist warms or you risk fucking your income earner over with tendinitis. And man, if you break or strain your drawing hand like moving furniture or something.(be careful). If you're passionate about it, it won't even feel like work. If you have OC's and a story to tell, people out there will latch on if the premise is engaging enough.Going on the welfare seems like a good plan but it can be very limiting in terms of certain things, like where you live (forced to use gov housing, might be housed with people you dislike), or if you want to take a vacation that's not even that far away but you simply can't afford it. It limits your reach to being local in just about every way. And once you are there, it may be hard to force yourself out of the welfare hole. I also don't think being on welfare as you get older is appealing either. I would think you'd want stability, as welfare parameters can change at any time. You don't want to be 40 or 50 and suddenly possibly homeless.
