Why do old people even keep living? Sure some might have money and can live happy for their last few years while saying fuck you got mine to the younger generation but they look ugly, have often brain damage, don't understand the modern world at all and often don't really have a family. They go so far and pay huge sums just to live a few years longer being force feed, having their diapers changed and being beaten by minorities. They had the best life a human could ever have and they still refuse to say good bye and let the world breathe. I don't want to live more then 70 years I really don't get the point of it unless we get super advanced tech to remove aging but I doubt that it will be available for normal people.

Elder care is a racket. Corpses with a beating heart, the money keeps flowing. Some real dr frankenstein shit with all the different drugs they make them take. It's not about quality of life, just +1 on the census. Social medicine leads directly to nightmares like this, which is why I'm not only against increasing the free healthcare US already has, I want the whole system eviscerated, removing the extensive amounts of free healthcare Americans are already getting. As long as people can get all the pills they want and surgeries, treatments, therapies for free it will only get worse. The free part is just an iou which then gets paid out of taxpayer dollars. People don't take care of themselves, eventually they can no longer make medical decisions for themselves. The husks I see every day look miserable, but we can't let them die because that keeps the money flowing.The free health model incentivizes sickness. Healthy people don't take drugs, therapies, and surgeries. A good 90% of interventions are entirely unnecessary and profit driven. But facilities and doctors have to find something to treat, or just make something up. If people paid out of pocket they would be incentivized to be healthier, and they'd be educated consumer. Instead of agreeing to anything a doctor says they'd ask why and consider alternatives.
