Enjoy getting the hooks stuck on the inside of your mouth. Flossing is a huge pain in the ass with them on. You'll forever have to wear a retainer or some of your teeth will revert back like it did with my bottom teeth because my dentist was so shit that it kept falling off. Hopefully you don't like apples.

>>84487466The only ones that reverted were 23-26. I couldn't wear the retainer on them. Those they have to place with a strong adhesive. Unfortunately the dentist was shit and fell off a few weeks after. After the third time, I didn't bother. After several years, they were back. It's a pain in the ass to deal with since food gets stuck. I'm debating on asking my current dentist if she can get them straight. I don't know if you will have to wear one on the top teeth. I stopped wearing mine when I was 21 (now 32) and they haven't reverted back. It may just be that it's a teenager/young adult thing.

>>84487558They're not gluing the teeth in place. There is a metal wire that goes from 23 to 26, with the adhesive being placed on 23 and 26. Looking this up, I don't know if removable ones were available at the time. I would have liked to have a removable retainer instead. It would have prevented this.

Since it is just four of them, I don't think they'd have to put them on all of them.The retainer for my upper teeth I had to wear all the time for awhile, only taking them out for temporary just for stuff like brushing teeth. Then after a period of time, they said I could just wear it at night. Things may be different since you are older. I was a teenager and had them braces from 12 to 14. I don't remember when they said I could start doing wearing them only at night.

i had braces at 12-14 and considered it literal torture. my teeth werent even that crooked. this caused me to kinda dissociate from my mouth, analogous to how people dissociate when raped. i guess i thought if i cant decide what happens to my mouth then its not mine either, or something. so naturally time i started mouthbreathing and not giving a shit about tongue posture while obviously literally never wearing my retainers which lead to decades of altered facial growth (longface) and teeth crowding. dentists just kept pulling teeth to deal with the crowding and now its worse than its ever been. all this could have been avoided if my parents didnt force braces on me to begin with. unfortunately they are cookiecutters who trust anyone in white. now i have to get braces again at almost 40 in addition to surgeries just so i can breathe normally
It's a cosmetic surgery, remember, so enjoy the days of pain. After that it becomes normal but you just don't eat apples or nuts. IDK why people say to avoid burgers or pizza crust. If food advice sounds stupid then ignore it.
glad i had all that braces shit in elementary school/middle school. shit hurt so bad but i got it over with early.
