The only job I've ever had is on social media. What are real jobs like?

soul crushing and depressing

What about those people who say they love their job?

they have to say that to justify spending upwards of 80% of their waking hours on it. imagine wasting all that life for nothing. its a mental lock that allows them to live without depression at the cost of their entire life essentially. if they genuinely *love* their jobs they might also just be insane, or retarded

Yeah, I can't imagine even doing something I love for that percent of the day. I even get bored of playing games.

i genuinely believe that these people retroactively gaslight themselves into loving their situation as some sort of subconscious omega cope. its probably also why people have midlife crisis or get divorced in their 40s. no way a thinking person could tolerate that, but then again, if you work an average work week you really dont have any time to think about anything but your job, so in the end its more close 90% of your life because you spent your free time thinking about work
