the actual weirdness is that females are no longer the majority of the national/world population. it flipped around in the past couple of years.i'm sure it'll vary by country, wealth, etc. but my entire life females were the majority. granted, it was about 51% female to 49% male, just one of those funny bits of trivia.those tiny percentage points are going to make the most significant difference to the men 'at the bottom'. we know which way around mate selection works, and there are quite literally not enough women to go around.
