Is it more evil to shove someone off a cliff or to allow them to fall off when you could have prevented it?

Shoving them off fosho

I think not helping is worse than just shoving them. It takes more than a split second heat of the moment action. You have to actively ignore their cries for help and just watch on as their grip slips. It borders on premeditated at that point.

This, you might not try to save that someone if you don't feel you can save them and that this person would bring you in their fall.

But you gotta look out for #1. Think of the hiker that went off the path and slipped and fell into the volcano. I sure as fuck wouldn't have tried to catch her hand if I noticed her falling. I'm not saying she deserved to die but SHE got herself in that situation by being careless. I'd feel bad for her but helping, absolutely not. That's entirely different from pushing her in. Even if it wasn't her fault, say there was a landslide and she was on the path, it feels unfair to demand a duty to save. That's just two people dead
