Anime, vidya, sci-fi, etc were better before they were mainstream and so heavily commercialized for normies.
this isnt the trvthnvke you think it is, in fact this is true for pretty much every thing out there
>>84540692Ironically this is a normie opinion
>>84541054Thats only because the term larper has recently been coopted by normal fags, so they are aware that its a pejorative, but dont have the self awareness to realize that they are the issue they thinking theyre complaining about.>inb4 no u

>>84540692Normies don't know what they like or why they like it. They wait for the group to tell them what to like. They wait to see which movie makes a billion dollars. They exist to fit in with the group and gain points with the group so they can raise their status someday. Their personalities are strictly performative, they are role playing as people with opinions.I can't tell you how much shit I caught because I was into the unholy trifecta: anime, vidya, and comics in the 90s. With some D&D for good measure. I was seen as a freak because I liked "nerd shit" which was extremely unpopular then. So it's weird and kind of funny for me to see the new generation embrace all that shit. It was never "nerd shit", it was just good shit that had a social stigma attached to it that would have been harmful to a normie's social group point counter (however they keep score) so they shunned it.Whatever. New comic books are such ass I can't even stand to read them. New anime is all isekai or dragon maid shit, vidya is a billion dollar business that sells shitty costumes to 12 year olds. I'm sticking to the classics.
