Were the 1990s the peak of American Jewish life? TV sitcoms like Seinfeld and Friends were a huge part of the cultural zeitgeist, and no one cared that the entire casts were Jewish. I feel like with the rising antisemitism of today, these shows wouldn't be nearly as popular.
