>>84565096>So youre in your twenties?no im soon 40 and i needd to turn my life around but im ready to wrap it all up everyhting leads to anxietymaybe i have to accept min wage pay and just fuck off for 50 yreararss>dont be a lazy fuck.already did math the whole next year and no im not tempted to actually do more math and physics and shit like that, its not for me, i could do it if i try harder and suffered>Youll regret it for the rest fo your life.there is not much left already regret most of iti dont like mathI hsould hav estarted working 20 years ago and saved my money and invested but alaswasa unhireable
>>84565113Based on everything that you told me the real matter lies in if you have some money saved. You could get a degree, and I do believe you would be better off doing engineering. Stop being a lazy fuck, the 4 years of studying is the only hard part. The work itself is gonna be a breeze. You need to get a better salary and save up so that you wont suffer later on. Wagie jobs are hard on the body and mind.
have you tried government work? I was burnt out after my stem MSc and went unemployed for a bit then welfare people threw a government computer job at me and im still here a year later as they keep giving me pay increases and its 3 days wfh and I can get away with mostly watching youtube and whilst wfh I do nothing but my hobbies. Going to be using their internal job roles to move into my actual field at some point but shits comfy.
>>84565233You're not American though, you live in Russia or some shit
>>84565233How do I get a job like this anon? Mind sharing more details, the world is gonna collapse soon so I can probably use glowie gibs and connections to my advantage
i used to work in a backbreaking warehouse where the lowest weight item was like 50lbs, it was so slavery mode that there werent even any overweight employees, and this was the southern US, so that's almost impossible.i did that for like 3 years after losing my bullshit job in Covid, and then i replaced it with a bullshit office phone job at a company run by literal evil lawyer Jews. They tried to bully their employees into working harder by literally calling up pretending to be leads and insulting their own employees. I spent like a year and a half collecting every single leads SSN, address, bank info etc on my own device and then leaked it all to TOR demons on a Tuesday afternoon. They fired the entire IT team and then the company got sued like 4 times over the next few years, owner jew is still in court and on verge of bankruptcy.only good thing that has ever happened to me in my lifei will cling to it.i might ruin that guys life more if my life gets any worse, he has kids so itll be easy
>>84565243Comparable, bongland. >>84565253well in the yookay with unemployment they have courses they make you do or else they stop giving you money and I kept going to the inductions then telling them I didn't want to do the course because it was low level stuff like how to make a CV, how to use a computer so they transferred me to a youth councillor who deals with young unemployed people who saw I had qualifications and sent me on a 2 week ''bootcamp'' course where they had 10 jobs for grabs. Idk if other countries have similar but I imagine all office government work is fake, they probably have a dedicated website so youd have to apply on there.
>>84565176>if you have some money saved.I don't>You could get a degree,I could student loan maxx, but everything is terrible still, school is terrible, all degrees I come into are terrible, education is terrible, all lead to anxiety and stress and most likely fields I don't wanna be in or door maybe idk>and I do believe you would be better off doing engineeringI don't have energy or passion to study math and physics for 6 more years lil bro, it's not my thing1 year I need prep for all the math courses I am missing + 5 years for engineering heretheortically YES I could do it, but I don't careI barely passed last math course (I barely did shit entire year)I am considering doing something else but I have to wait until next term/yearit's all shit thoughtrash>You need to get a better salary and save up so that you wont suffer later on.people get higher paying jobs than docs studygin 6 years fresh out of hs too but not likely>>84565233>have you tried government work?IamunhireableI am (was) lacking my hs education, zero relelvant work, credentials, anythingim unhireablestill amnot getting 0 qualfiication work like elderly care, mcdonalds, service desk, anythingI don't get these jobsthat's hwy im FORCED into studying because I am competing with 1000000000 migrants and unskilled labourersi dont even wanna do this shit eitherI would do it if i could but evyerhign sucks i have no guidancecounselors are retardedi suck at evaluationg job market, jobs, everyhting, i am basically fucking retardedim tired as hell>3 days wfhits like 49% allowed here if u can do that yeah>>84565243not him but eu>>84565295lol, I feel like I will perpetually dissatisifaed with all choices i maek in life, eerythgin is the wrong choiceims o fucking tired man...... im buirn out from this level of school i did recently tootired of it all man
>>84565324>I am (was) lacking my hs education, zero relelvant work, credentials, anythingidk how euroland works but in the uk you need 0 qualifications to join the civil service, you just have to get passed their gay interview process, dont even need relevant work experience, but the job market is fucked across the west anyway.
>>84565308>unemployment they have courses they make you do or else they stop giving you moneyOh ok well I believe in the US they have that but its bullcrap jobs like rubbish collecting or demolition or fast food
>>84565380usually they try to put you onto any low tier job but it was some trialled course to get people in, I got ridiculously lucky really. I dont think I could hold down an actual job.
>>84565366>>84565380>>84565440I'm full of anxiety probably ingested too much caffeine I feel like shit I'm upset and stressed about lifeI overthink everythingI hate everythingI'm tired being constant in a fight or flight and the worst thing I get no further clarity, no clear thought, my stress and worry does to nothingI will make the worst possible decisions in the end anyway, there was something better that I could have doen that would have helped my life and made everything better higher paying comfier in the first placebut because im retarded, i will do the wrong thing and sufferim in a bad mood and i feel badi regret evertyhing
>>84565081Don't blame yourself it would've turned out like this anyway. I STEMmaxed and I'm unemployed. I guess wait until the economy is fixed (lol) then get a degree so you're eligible for graduate roles when they actually exist and haven't evaporated into thin air. It won't do anything now but you can pretend you're planning long term for your morale.
>>84566605maybe I will try to apply for shit jobs for a year but i'd rather i'd do somethingmaybe I should just go be an electrician instead or somethingjust missed applying for thatidk
>>84565081>>84565096engineer here, I'm not sure I would recommend taking this path anymore. The pay has stagnated in a lot of the field, starting pay is pretty mid and many places won't give you a lot of work to grow, just shitty busy work like managing drawings with no real ownership. It has not been spared from the H1B jeetpocalypse unless you are in DoW (formerly DoD) work that can only hire US citizens. Not saying you can't make good money, but you'll have to be above the rest of the crop of engineers. Don't lie to yourself if your aren't that good, you'll just end up wasting more time.Sorry for the bad news, job market is pretty fucked until we can stop immigration and deport all the thirdies.
>>84567024Im saying the opposite I dont wanna do stem, or i would do IT tech but not the rest math heavy shitbut overall salaries in my country are kinda shit regardlessmaybe i should just have become an electrician, impossible for AI slop to take job also theres a shortage but anyway yeah
IT is a fucking scamI've been a software developer for just over a decade now and can confidently say it has ruined my fucking lifeUnless you have the special kind of autism that makes you wanna code and study compsci shit 16 hours a day and not even where your work ends and free time begins, this shit ruins you physically and mentallyNot a day goes by where I don't think about an escapeBut there is nothingTime off has no effect anymore. All these years sitting in front of a pc have left me emotionally retarded, physically ill (no gym isn't gonna save you from this one) and lacking any monetiseable real world skillI'm probably just a few api docs away from freaking
>>84565081>fucking hate everythingme too, me too...
reincarnatemaxx and pray to be born in a european country or go homeless and beggarmaxx
>>84565081>>84567024>>84567835I worked construction for 15 years and I just don't give a fuck to wageslave with toxic retards anymore and I'm too burned out and don't give a fuck about anything anymore to be a try-hard to do college to beg for a white collar job they won't give me because I'm a white male anyways. I understand why so many young men just aren't even trying anymore. I already know how the real world works and I can't be fucked to care to try anymore myself. Every direction seems like a nightmare and hopeless how do they expect men to function in this society?>fucking hate everythingYa me too.
>>84567835this is my deepest fear, im doing IT for the salary and because i spent my entire life on the pc. so i feel like i have to do work with computers as opposed to more social shit like healthcare. but im afraid ill just get trapped in this where im doing shit i dont really like and wanting to quit and go be a chef or something
>>84567835>>84568540You dudes have GOT to learn how to design databases and use state machines. Computers program themselves these days.
>>84565081Some guy just made a streaming channel and is now making a living wage talking about videogames
>>84565081Investmaxx... or investxs. With diligence you can grow even a small amount. Remember $1 can buy you more than 1 share in a good stock if you make the time to research new/cheap stuff with potential. Both my dad and some older fellows I work with recall times they saw stuff (Amazon, Bitcoin, etc.) when it was cheap and wish they'd done their proper research. If you toss $1 at stuff with potential and it doubles or more you can rotate that into new things. Compounding, except instead of a bank account giving you a flat rate you might end up picking stuff that does more than just a 2x. It's not like the good picks you do make are fated to never do more than a double. All the same starting from $1 and doubling the amount 20 times nets your over 1 million. Being right 20 times in a row? Sure it's unlikely but you're smart enough to be right 20 times in the long-run. I know first-hand how boring the reading can be before taking an educated chance on an asset. Still less time spent than courses and certifications. Think about it carefully.
