why are school shootings extremely common now as opposed to america in 40s-90s where guns were even more available?
>>
>>84578904
it's a meme
literally, Columbine kids got famous so disaffected young people who wanted to throw their lives away started doing mass shootings instead of other types of crimes
>>
mkultra happened
>>
>>84578904
I believe its a cultural thing, shooting up a school is a type of crime that's usually inspired by someone else. Think of how many school shooters were inspired by Columbine, even obsessed with the two.

Inarguably the most valid opinion. The atomization is intentional.

These two >>84578913 >>84578916 are obviously correct though
>>

but they obviously arent
>>
still find it funny how the retards that worship those dudes, wouldve probably been killed by them, or bullied by them before it happened
>>
>>84578904
i think back then it was actually the serial killers around that era that were the "school shooters" of that time. kinda makes sense since back then that sort of thing wasnt heard of, so we got people like dahmer and the night stalker.
>>
>>84578904
It's a mix of mental health being the worst it's been in decades, lack of proper support networks for bullied students, and let's be honest, a few of them definitely have some interference from the federal government.
The greatest loss was that trench coats have never recovered from the stained legacy of school shooters. I could be wearing one right now if it wouldn't make me look like a school shooter myself.
>>
>>84579083
you could, just go fully into the detective look, wear the hat, smoke cigars/cigarettes, drink, and make your voice more gruff. you could also start talking in the old timey way they did back then too.

More niggers now
>>
1. Less people
2. Homogenous society
3. No internet
4. Media was more hush about tragedy out of respect to victims
>>
>more news stations covering it
Copycat crimes are a thing, even copycat suicides, people are really fucking dumb and easily memed especially when they aren't doing well
>more creepy forums online to get prestige from it
Erwin bullied in the 60's might have multiple hunting rifles but who the fuck is gonna think he's cool for shooting up the foorball squad? Nobody. Meanwhile shooters livestream their crimes for an audience
>people more isolated and bullying is worse
Back then you could just fucking go home and you'd be safe but nowadays bullies will make extended stalking and bullying campaigns online with heinous shit, like sending a disliked dude child porn and calling the cops on him (I know of a guy this happened to and he killed himself) Being unable to escape the bullying drives people to drastic measures some direct the anger OUTWARD
>>
the mystery of it is part of the beauty of it
>>
Because trannies commit them at extreme rates and there are a lot of dead end trannies that realized they ruined their lives beyond any chance of repair by mangling themselves with injections. Another difference is the desire to try to use them as propaganda pieces for attempting to disarm countries so communism can finally rise again and do it right this time for sure (cuba is doing it as intended currently, UK is close on their heels)

I always forget that memes aren't just restricted to the Internet, and it's an integral part of the human social experience.

We are social animals and will go against what's right to fit in, usually in the moment
>>
>>84579083
hmm I don't think the average young zoomer or alphoomer sees trench coats as connected to school shooters in any way. if I had to guess they were going out of style anyway and if anything the edgy aura they had in the early 2000s brought them back a little bit (see postal guy's outfit for example).

Or he could just do what he wants with his finite time on this Earth and not worry about miserable people who think it's weird.

Be unapologetically you
>>
>>84578904
They're not, really. The first "major" one was in the 1960s. There was some here and there in the 70s, 80s, early/mid 90s.
Even now they are rather negligible in overall crime statistics.

We don't have societal cohesiveness like they did back then. Back then being "American" meant you were all on the same team even if you had unique interests and ideosyncracies as an individual. Common cultural ties and a strong national heritage naturally encourage social behaviors and being "for your fellow man as he is for you". Quarrels happened of course, but were limited to especially disturbed/neurotic individuals and the police, the community, and the mental asylums worked together to handle it.

They weren't more available, guns per capita in the US pretty much trends straight up over time.

Men cannot live happily while completely isolated. Being among people who aren't like you causes isolation. And when those people come from genomes where it's much more common to hate and kill your neighbors ... you get the USA of today.
>>
Raising boys to believe that they're evil became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Because whiteoids cant get enough
>>

Society was healthier. Guns aren't actually what cause mass shootings. You have to have deranged people willing to pick them up. The more deranged people your society produces, the greater the chance of one of them snapping. Only a small percentage will snap mind you, but it will seem like it's increasing because the total number is going up. Today like 40% of men are incels, and more men are mentally checked out of the society than at any point in the country's short history.
What you need to worry less about at this point is a lone gunman, and more of a leader or revolutionary figure. Someone to rally the others who will never act on their own.
We're unfortunately probably going to get to see some shit go down.
>>
I have the real reason, liberals destroyed communities across America with the fair housing act. White people dispersed. Communities were destroyed. Children grew up in their rooms instead of outside. However, you can hardly blame the white parents. They just wanted a better future for their children. One where they don't get the shit beat out of them in inner city schools.
>>
Because Americans specifically are very mentally ill. The mass shooter as a concept, just like the serial killer, is an overwhelmingly american concept.

>chart starts in 1990
