Geodomes are very cool. I wanted a yurt but then I realize I'd get little use from it. Anywhere cool to deploy would shoo you away and not let you just live there for like a week. Renaissance Faire? Shoo shoo. That's actually the only place I can think of. Lean one or two solar panels against the south facing wall and it will power a laptop overnight and keep a chest freezer within refrigerator temps. Wrap a potato in foil and bury it with a few coals and you won't go hungry. Pork loin is like $2.5/lb, cut into chops and you are eating good. Whole think fits in the back of a van or pickup.
Have you thought about how to skin the structure? Used billboard vinyls can be cheap sometimes but it's not the coolest looking material.
