Even pro players couldn't reliably master it and even those who skipped source preferred the revamped system in CS:GO. The game is better than it's ever been, the only thing that got worse is the same thing that got worse in every single multiplayer game which is the community. You would have killed to play CS2 in 2004 with 250+ fps.
