Let's consider something simple as an example to illustrate what I mean. Let's say hypothetically that I generally think that bigger breasts are more attractive. But you could almost certainly point to many examples of women with tiny breasts that I find attractive despite me claiming that. You could also point to women with small breasts who in my mind would appear less attractive if you hypothetically increased the size of their breasts, because let's say their main appeal lies in being petite, and having big breasts that aren't proportionate to the rest of their bodies wouldn't look as good. That's what I mean by saying it's non-linear. Generally, I think it's better to judge the whole package without trying to reverse engineer the details. It makes some sense to gather data on a population level to try to figure out what is generally seen as attractive with some confidence interval, but on the personal level it might not be possible to accurately evaluate on your own.
