>>84590549Grew up there and then moved to Idaho right before covidPersonality-wise, I remember it feeling very stuffy and old-fashioned, yet somehow also very SJW-y and artsy. People generally seemed stressed out, impatient, and fast-paced, which I don't miss at all. Half the reason I left was because it was too expensive to live on my own, and the job market sucked. It gets more hilly and rural the further inland you go, lots of sandy patches and boulders from ice age glaciers, then it gets swampy in the lower elevation areas. Stone walls and small overgrown cemeteries from the 1700s and 1800s can be found along the back roadsLots of maritime culture and seafood obviously, and lots of Italian-American, Irish-American, and Portuguese-American culture.Tourist attractions consist mostly of beaches, old Gilded Age mansions, and Block Island.

>>84591288>Somehow very SJW-yIt's like the entire new England area that's like that now. Like whatever dumb liberal shit they can possibly pass into law they do
i spent a lot of summer vacations as a child with my family at watch hill. that place is so cozy especially as a kid, its like a cheap version of marthas vineyard, summer beach town. i went back there as an adult and it was filled with trashy people
>>84592138Hope you have a lot of memories from those trips Anon
>>84592525when i went back there as an adult and went to the beach i couldnt believe i actually swam and boogie boarded in the ocean. the waves are fucking huge and powerful there. i do remember getting fucked up a couple times when the waves were too big, got body slammed and tossed around a couple times. must be child ignorance or something because theres no way i would ever swim in that now
