I am 99% certain that flatscreen CRT didn't exist in 1992. Those didn't exist for widespread consumer use until the 2000s.

t. first contact w the internet was in 1992

Back then we did all our web browsing on a monitor as flat as a basketball and we liked it!
We hiked a mile in the snow to get to the only computer in town!
We had to dial up on a rotary telephone until our fingers bled and we liked it!
You kids have it too easy these days!

Those screens hurt one's eyes...
I think the sweetspot for things was 02-05
>games were relatively cheap
>flatscreens started to become distributed widespread of computers
>torrents were on the rise
we are at the mercy of network television before mid 01' and anime vids were $29.99 it was hell dude.

>PS1 games were $9.99-$19.99 when the PS2 came out
>normies hadn't figured out the internet as myspace didn't exist till mid 03' and easy asf to get laid

The only downside was the constant fear of terror and the antics of dumbfuck president Bush

Regardless, I'm going to continue playing vidya games from that era in general, and that year in particular.

That mousepad is from HomeGrocer.com which didn't go online until 1997, plus the pad is well-worn in the photo.

I'm 90% sure that's an optical mouse which didn't outsell trackball mice until like 1998. It might be a 90s photo, but definitely not 92.

In OP's cave, sure, you'd need a proper backlight. Also, get them running at 75Hz+, shift the colours to warm and turn down the brightness.

In the 90s you would have been seen as a nerd just for being into computers. The 6 monitors would have made you a "serious nerd", because you had cover from the fact that nobody knew what the fuck computers were for anyway. Nowadays office workers often have dual monitor setups, so they can probably tell that almost nobody needs 6 and you're just a mentally ill faggot.
>>
>>84594190
Yeah in 1992 this would've got you labelled a serial killer or some shit.

one for IRC, one for your favorite MUD/MMO, one for web browsing/general purpose... can't think of why you'd need more than that if you aren't using them professionally (and those things used a lot of electricity)
>>
>>84594264
>those things used a lot of electricity
So did lightbulbs. Except nobody cared, because electricity was cheap.

i use tungsten light to this day and i always hear my coworkers complain about $500-800+ utulity bills but mine hover around $130 usually and max out at $200 if it really cold and i go hard with the electric heat
i dont understand what people are doing with the electricity to make it so high
>>
>>84594425
In my experience, people who like to complain are less likely to actually do something about it.
>>
>>84594475
but i dont even know what you would do about it
i dont think i could make my bills double if i tried let alone triple
what are they doing with all that electricity???
