i'm not in great shape now but when i did the journey from being skinny fat to lean and strong so I know what it takes. And fundamentally it's just repetition.

Eat healthy foods that match the right amount of calories you need per day.
Train in the gym.
Get quality sleep.

So that means you end up living a 'boring' and monotonous life. You live by a routine that takes up your entire life basically.

A lot of people online try to make it sound like you can get fit but also have a social life and they're lying. They did the no-life thing and got fit and now they have the muscle they can be more social but on the journey to getting fit, nope, it's not possible to have a social life. But their businesses depend on them selling lies so that is why they deny the message that getting fit requires you to basically have no social life at all.

But yeah basically it's just 3 things done over and over. Eating healthy at the amount of calories you need. Training daily. Getting quality sleep (more than you think you need).

the sleeping part annoys me so much
i hate sleeping

sleeping might feel better for you after you've trained that day.

But if you hate sleeping for other reasons, idk.

I think most anons live a monotonous life, so that doesn't change. I do however need to change my sleep since I enjoy to do hobbies late in the night.

I'm currently on the same level as Michelangelo's David. I don't know if this is considered being in great shape or just good shape.
Apart from the first couple months it's been pretty easy to get to. Basically just
>ULR split in the gym. Bulk then cut. Basic /fit/ stuff.
>At least 30 minutes cardio everyday
>High protein, high fibre diet for maximum fullness and gut health
>Big focus on sleep. You can just follow Brian Johnson's "protocol".
Yeah it takes time away from your other hobbies, and it takes a while for the gym and cardio to not feel shitty, but after a couple months you start to feel great and genuinely crave exercise.

so true. I miss the gym. Have to get back into it.

yeah getting strong and fit can suit anons who are already living a monotonous life. except if you're a neet who stays up late you can't do that anymore.

It's pretty simple. Don't eat sugar, do eat protein, work out at all.

I'm in good shape, the big thing is to just enjoy training. You do it consistently and make sure you're getting stronger or bigger or both over time and you're good. I disagree with the other anons saying it makes your life boring or overly routined. if you want to be crazy crazy dialed like yeah you can go overboard with it, like anything. But I enjoy it, don't track my calories/ protein too closely, and have a body that girls regularly obsess and drool over.
