the thing that pisses me off the most is just how mediocre and insufferably boring everything is. when i was younger i would admire characters in movies and videogames and believe that these fantasies were actually possible. that i could imitate these characters and that the traits they represented were real. but they really arent. i have never met a single impressive person or interesting thing worth pursuing. its all just the same tedious slog of chores and mediocrity, all work with no payoff. if things were irremediably bad that would actually be an upgrade because destruction implies possibility. what we're living through is just mental and spiritual stagnation
