Is working out worth it?
>>
>>84593386
>Better health
>Better mood
>Cognitive benefits
>Look better
Literally what is the downside.
>>
>>84593387
Time wasted in gyms that could've been usefully spent gooning and browsing 4channel
>>
If you do it for any other reason for enjoyment, then no. Don't do it for anything else, esp for girls (lol.) Try many different things and find out what you like. You may not like lifting or running. Fine. Try others like swimming or boxing.
>>
>>84593386
even if it doesn't change my incel status, I like to have a healthy looking body that forgives my ugly face
>>
>>84593386
Being fit feels nice, so yes.
>>
>>84593386
Yeah, even if it's just for health and maintenance instead of continuous gains. Helps keep the body in a shape that is better at using energy and acting on motivation. Went from being shaky after 50 squats in 30 minutes on Day 1, to being fine doing 100+ in 10-15 minutes before showering after work, gradually. Good to start with leg exercises since they hold up everything else, including whatever weight/gains your core and arms later get.
>>
>>84593447
I never really enjoyed lifting or running
I think swimming feels okay but it's the most annoying one to actually do if you don't have your own pool
>get to public pool
>undress in one of the rooms with the nasty wet floors
>swim
>shower, repeat
When I used to visit the public pool here I remember it'd be somethijng like 45min of just going up there, all the faffing around to dress and then 30min of actual swimming maybe
Also unlike lifting it's very cardio-intensive so you're kinda set up to do less of it as a noob
>>
>>84593386
The health benefits are overstated correlation. In fact all the benefits are overstated unless you're fat or anorexic.
All of this can be fixed by fixing your diet.
All the +100yo people never worked out in their life. Only brisk walks.
Never listen to someone who's a runner or lifter telling you they love it or like it, just look at their face while doing it. How they frown, pant, squeal and make grimaces.
It's called sunken cost

Yes, but I'm only saying that because it helped get me women. People who say gym = cope don't know how to workout or are fat.
But also, don't make it your "thing", just get strong arms and shoulders. Literally it's all women care about, you can easily get the equipment to workout arms+shoulders at home.
>>
>>84593836
Post body you wont. You DYEL.

>Never listen to someone who's a runner or lifter telling you they love it or like it, just look at their face while doing it. How they frown, pant, squeal and make grimaces. It's called sunken cost
I don't enjoy running but this is one of those "everyone else must think and experience life like me" retarded perspectives. Like if your parents saw you playing an RTS or MMO and said there's no way kids even enjoy these complicated games with 100 buttons and so many things to deal with at the same time....I couldn't even imagine .......
Running can release endorphins or whatever. runner's high and also even if the whole thing did hypothetically suck for everyone there's the "achievement" aspect of breaking a personal record when you run a mile in whatever minute
>>
>>84593856
Armlet rage.
>>
>>84593883
>armlet
>>
>>84593870
Your body only releases serotonin and endorphins AFTER the end of the workout because it's relieved you've stopped stressing it for no reason other than being brainwashed
There's no perspective to this retard, it's not even on the same level. When someone plays a game non-competitively they're usually relaxed and relieved, if you're that stressed and tryharding on a game to where it's visible on your face you should obviously stop and find another endeavor.
Literally no one enjoys lifting and running. If you were the last person on earth you'd start banging rocks against each other for entertainement before ever running again
>>84593883
This is why you dont listen to the supposed "fit" and sporty people online unless they post a picture of themselves.
This guy does arm curls with the 24lbs dumbbells once every three weeks yet still wants to give us his dogshit opinion on how that "helped him get women", then some other retard sees it and next thing he's shocked in 4 months that it didn't help

You are the exact kind of person I referred to in my original post lol. Sour grapes.
>>
>>84593921
What sour grapes ? Im guaranteed to have bigger arms than you, lift more than you and btfo you at any metric or sport practice you want to pick. You're ashamed to even post your supposed arms and shoulders that women like.
Your post isnt even some of testimony you're just posting what seems like a "rational" fantasy to you to humblebrag and mislead the poor souls on here
>>
>>84593386
Worth it to do what? Attract other gay guys? Can you "work out" your face? Your penis? Hahaha, nope, you can't. Cope harder.
>>
>>84593947
Post arms then.
>>
>>84593976
>Hey dude post your awesome arms women love
>N-n-no sour grapes wahwahwah mommy help me n-no you post your arms
What a fucking queer. Go hang yourself larper
>>
>>84593982
So you're epic bodybuilder arms are too small to post?
>>
>>84594012
>you're
esl
>>
>>84594040
efl, no one knows how to use your/you're here lmao except esl's
>>
>>84593447
Working out isn't enjoyable at all, I do it solely for health and general ease of life reasons.
>>
Home gym yes or at the very least community gym that is within walking distance. Driving there and back and it being a big public gym, hell the fuck no. I can't stand public gyms and driving to them is gay, you just look really gay driving to and back from the gym.

ARE YOU SURE ARE YOU SURE? MARK I MADE A STEAK THIS IS GOOD NEWS! A STEAK? THIS IS INSANE! SEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASAAAAAAAAALLLLLLTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
>>
>>84593402
fucking this, working out gets so fucking old. I did it for years, and then some years on and off cuz I would always stop during summer when it gets too hot. And man it's just not worth it. If you want
>Better health
>Better mood
>Cognitive benefits
>Look better
Do a diet instead. 100 times easier and 10 times better results.
>>84594279
he's right tho
>>
>>84593913
I don't play games """competitively""" but I've played plenty of RTS ranked (cause playing against AI a bunch can get repetitive/boring) and it can be stressful. But it's also FUN. Do you not understand that some people actually enjoy challenge and stress to some extent?
> if you're that stressed and tryharding on a game to where it's visible on your face you should obviously stop and find another endeavo
Either everyone who plays games like this hates it and derives 0 reward and goes back to it to torture themselves OR they derive some enjoyment from it. Pick one
>>
>>84594605
Diets aren't going to make you stronger or improve your stamina, which feels better than being unfit
>>
>>84594605
Even if you have a perfect diet though you can't be in the same physical condition as someone who does some regular exercise. It's in da papers.....
>>
>he's so unfit he just walks 20 steps and he's out of breath
>>
>>84593386
I would love to work out and be fit but I don't like the idea of having to work out for others to accept me. I'm really conflicted on that.
>>
>Is working out worth it?
Not for a bald manlet like me, no.
>>
>>84595435
>I don't like the idea of having to work out for others to accept me.
Who said you had to? Fuck what others think. All my co-workers are obese chain smokers who make fun of people who are fit like myself. Yet they cry about their medical illnesses. Let them.
>>
>>84593386
yesterday i carried some trees that fell over the path i like to hike away from the path. i tried before but this time i actually did it.
for sure 100% worth it.
also i just wanna be able to wear clothes and not wonder if i look like retard because of my disgusting body, like i did all my teens.
>>
>>84595523
i've worked with so many guys who just let themselves go in their 20s and at some point in their late 20s or early 30s fucked themselves up with a hernia, back problem or knee saying good night because they did nothing but gain weight for years and suddenly tried doing the things they could back in the day.
and then these clowns blame old age. ''wowee old age really does a number on ya. back in the day i did this all the time and lived off just beers and chips. now my IBS acts up all the time, get acid reflux and my backs shot.'' nah bro this wasn't old age, this was entirely preventable.
>>
>>84593386
its over rated i think unless youre doing roids but there is really no long term downsides
>>
>>84593387
fpbp

Your body literally craves it and rewards it, unfortunately for us sedentary lazy bums it's always worth it.
>>
>>84594318
>>84594279
>>84594840
You can tell i'm correct just by the fact that none of these replies rebuke or deny what i said
It's all insults and shaming tactics and peer pressure
Gymcels genuinely exhibit cargo cult-like scientology behavior.
Yes lifting and running are detrimental to your health and everything can fixed with diet. If you disagree go ahead and write a long, detailed, sourced post on why

I think this image says it all...no words needed, despite text less posts not being allowed on here.
