instead of taking glps to lose weight can't I just starve myself? isn't it the same thing
>>
>>84605886
No, it's not the same thing, and why are you even reticent about it?
>muh side effects
Objectively less impactful than obesity.
>>
>>84605886
starving yourself is probably healthier than taking drugs but i'd imagine it would be difficult
>>
>>84605886
you can. just stay hydrated and have a little bit of carbs and vitamins so you don't faint
>>
You can but most fatties don't have the willpower. You will also need vitamins and things. Just try to eat less and exercise more, lose the weight slowly and gradually. Crash diets are rarely successful because people go back to the same habits as before.
>>
>>84605896
the side effect i'm worried about is the huge financial cost
>>
>>84605901
Pull up the cost of all the food you eat and the medical procedures your chronically inflamed organs will cause you. You can spend money (or go into debt whatever) NOW to have an improved quality of life NOW, or you can continue obesely obesing around and suffering until you have a heart attack.
>>
>>84605921
Even if he does get the meds if he doesn't change his diet he will gain the weight back when he stops taking them. He needs to learn better habits first.
>>
>>84605886
Crash diets don't really work long term. Changing your habits and food choices is the only real way to stay healthy and slim in the long run.
>>
>>84605932
>if he doesn't change his diet
Just wolf down psyllium/glucomannan, problems weren't.
>>
All GLP-1 drugs do is suppress appetite making it easier to fast for extended periods of tie

>>84605896
It is the same thing. Why do you think it's not
>>
>>84605901
I just got a years supply of mounjaro and bac water for less than $250. You just gotta know where to look (Chinese lab vendors) if you want my vendor its lnpeptides WhatsApp

Relying on willpower is the worst way to get anything done.
>>
>>84605886
Your body will slow down it's energy production when you're starving so the weight loss will be minimized and you might even gain some water weight if you're still drinking it while fasting
>>
>>84606665
This is willpower plus some help with appetite suppression though. Theres really no downsides except feeling nauseous sometimes

just do keto and eat well
fasting is really easy when in ketosis

>>84605896
>>84605901
bone density loss does not sound fun either
>>
>>84606666
You can break any weight loss patents with GLP-1 drugs. They are extremely potent

Keto is easiest to do with GLP-1 drugs. Also bone density loss only occurs when you literally stop eating anything at all amd have exhausted all your bodies fat reserves. Very unlikely for anyone to get to that point
>>
>>84605886
Yeah I lost 80 kg of fat and a few kg of muscle mass in 15 months. Next goal is body recomp and then mass muscle gain.
>>
>>84606675
Irrelevant to my post i'm talking about the normal mechanism with no exogenous intervention
>>
>>84606682
How did you lose muscle? Just refuse to eat protein?
>>
>>84606688
You will lose muscle mass no matter what at unless you do heavy lifting and I did not want to go to the gym as a fatass and I had enough other problems to keep the diet. I was 174kg at my ath now I am 88kg at 190cm.
>>
>>84606711
Oh, I didnt lose muscle mass while on mounjaro but I lifted and kept my protein intake high. Thats really how you get the best results
>>
>>84606681
keto is easy on its own when you get the hang of it and has the same appetite reduction as the drugs in a much healthier way
>Also bone density loss only occurs when you literally stop eating anything at all amd have exhausted all your bodies fat reserves
it happens from rapid weight loss and not enough nourishment which is not because of the drug directly but because you dont eat enough while rapidly losing
and its more common than they are letting on

up to you guys if you wanna risk it but you should know what you're getting yourself into

bro peed on a stick and showed us
>>
>>84605886
Just stay in a caloric deficit over a long period of time. It's tough but it's the price for allowing yourself to get fat
>>
>>84605886
I lost 100 pounds by smoking weed. Granted it was right after I graduated HS so it might have just been a growth spurt, but marijuana does speed up your metabolism and I've only gained 20 pounds in the 7 years since then even after quitting. It will ruin you mentally, but it can certainly help you lose weight if you're desperate.
