Do you iron your shirts nowadays?
>>
>>84611627
For proper shirts? Yes. For day to day shirts though, not always. I find the dryer does a good job of getting the creases out, depending on the fabric.

I miss when Helper was here, and he would say "another wuppa garn down the hatch" or "necking that wizza nows".
Those were the days. We didn't know how good we had it.

Do you wear a proper shirt when you drive the van (for minimum wage)?
>>
Meaningless and bizarre distinction between a "proper shirt" and a "day-to-day shirt"

I don't drive a van, I haven't for a long time. Not since I worked for the pharmaceutical supply company.

mind you, lyricposting had not better become truth (/britfeel/ lad with a confused genie, perhaps).

last lyrics i posted were 'Wood' by Taylor Swift and that is NOT something i want in my life right now.

/fa/ told me that if i wanted to be trendy, i was to wear Oxford shirts (or 'OCBDs') casually instead of daring to just stick on a T-shirt.

feels daft. in my 30s now, would rather just be comfy. the closer to pyjamas, the better the clothes.
>>
>>84611683
Not necessarily. You don't want people seeing the outline of your willy.

i intentionally wear loose-fit boxers. avoids that whole thing with grey trackies, they just don't cling to anything. if someone wants to do a bit of voyeurism on me, they won't be very satisfied.

When I close my eyes I see strange shapes and otherworldly objects that I cannot describe, my psychiatrist told me that it is perfectly normal and everybody sees that. There's no way it's normal seeing a walking decagon object with 10 legs and a background that looks like a rainbow lava lamp every time I close my eyes.

Is there anyone else that sees this stuff or is my psychiatrist telling lies?
>>
>>84611772
nah mate I also knows since she was there.
can't ask her now though (she's in Australia)

I've forgotten the password for my encrypted VHD.

I actually got into it just now. I left the room, got a drink, came back, and typed it first time. Just let my fingers move without thinking.

Very sad what they did to Queen Street. It's completely soulless now. I'm sure crossy would agree

I have a hard drive from 2010 that I had a Bitcoin wallet on. I bought an IDE to USB converter and have been meaning to try to access the wallet on there for years, I just never get round to it. I know it's passworded, but I think I have a good chance of guessing a password I used 15 years ago.

The scary thing here is that the hard drive fails. Traditional hard drive platters with magnetic discs only last a certain amount of time, especially if never turned on.

>>84611880
oh god i went through the same thing trying to recover a 2010 wallet.dat with an adapter + software.

there's some trickery you can do with PhotoRec to try and find the magic number or whatever pattern would match a Bitcoin wallet. had it running for days, it found a few chunks, but they were all false positives.

sad stuff but if we knew then, that's like saying you'd just play last week's lottery numbers if you could.

glad he's on that religiongrind now, but i miss this Crosslad, he brought a warmth to the threads.

saw some thread on outer /r9k/ about how the new white LEDs are visible from space (can't find it sadly) and it made me think of these times.

When I close my eyes I only see the blobs that everyone sees (and this might be what your psychiatrist is thinking of - they're called phosphenes).

But when I am on the verge of sleep I have seen interesting moving geometric shapes and patterns (closed eye visuals). It just happens occasionally.

I can trigger the ability to see bizarre shapes and indescribable objects with open eyes if I do particular breathing exercises.

I got picrel from Wikipedia, it's nothing like what I see (I see way more complex 3D (or even 4D?) shapes.

If you've ever taken psychedlics you'll be more prone to seeing this stuff, especially if recently. You can get something called HPPD, and it's basically like the visual effects from the psychedelic come back occasionally in brief moments. I still get it staring at some surfaces or floors.

is it even a conspiracy theory to suggest the obvious reason why they're doing this?

York is a lovely city. I shall go there haha.
>>
Just off the phone with Guo. He's got some troubling news that I'll reveal in a future thread.

The only reason I haven't been to York yet is because it's a bit far from me. I don't want to get on a coach or pay ridiculous train fares.

It's awful. It's actually worse for driving too. All the streetlamps and headlights being bright white LEDs just dazzles your night vision and makes it harder to see.

It's also harsh and uninviting. Another aspect of the decline.

UK light pollution

protip: if you live in a town or city in the UK you will never see more than a few stars, and it has become worse and continues worsening.

There are a few "dark sky" areas in the parts where nobody lives, and even there, you'll see a permanent light pollution on the horizon. I've done night time hikes and the horizon and hills in the distance are always backlit
