Don't you know I'm still getting bummed better than I ever did

I'm still bottom after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
I'm still bottom (Yeah, yeah, yeah)

I don't think Labour are destroying the country though. Starmer has been right to rebuild ties with our allies in Europe for example, and he was right to keep us out of the Iran war. Labour have also strengthened rights for workers and renters. I'm sure that the wealthy bastards who fund Reform and the Tories would love to tear up these better rights though.

One thing where Labour probably should go further would be ending the triple lock for pensions. Perhaps pensions should even be means tested, because why should a multimillionaire retiree get a state pension paid for by young adults who are struggling to pay their bills?

Unfortunately Labour are committed to the triple lock for the moment though because it was in their 2024 manifesto.

They're telling us and the world there is no problem here, yet we know there is. We're told to accept everyone and that our own rights don't matter as much.
Thinking there is an issue in this country is a massive issue for the government and a lot of councils and the government want people to stop thinking it is an issue.
There's also the issue of "the nudge unit" a confirmed thing, which is about psychological nudges, aka getting people to think a certain way.
It doesn't make sense, your reply I'm talking about.

I'm just weird, with or without drugs, and it's not for a girl. She obviously hates him. Calling him "a loser" openly on television etc. I mean fair enough if she thinks that privately, but to do that openly on a very popular TV show shows much more contempt than he deserves. I wonder if that kind of hostility from one of his closest family members is part of it. This is a short clip so obviously we don't know, but it looks like the father isn't around either. Deceased perhaps or just gone. I wonder if the sister learned that kind of open contempt for him from the father. A good parent would tell her that it's not ok to openly disrespect him. Open disrespect may have been the norm at home when he was growing up, which led in part to his stunted development.

I have a friend who is in a similar situation. Her brother is a loser like this guy. Exact same vibe. And her mother is a narcissist in the sense that her brother is the "golden child" and she is the "scapegoat child." She is very professionally successful and her mother doesn't give a fuck about it, which grates on her, but mum takes a huge interest in her brother's shit, unpublishable novel writing as if it's some work of genius.

My friend has told me in the past that she wouldn't care if her brother committed suicide. She didn't say it in anger, either. This is perhaps revealing.

You won't because you can't. It's nonsense and you know it. You won't admit it. You'll resort to a childish game of pretending you are simply choosing not to explain it. Bit sad lad, and says more about you than it does about him. He's also pathetic, but at least he doesn't try to intellectualise his patheticness as you have here. That's actually more shameful. You always see women on reddit claim their parents are narcissists who treated their brother better. Yet the woman is always successful, moved out and has a stable marriage etc. while the brothers end up as mentally ill losers. I think they just get jealous and start making shit up.
>>
>>84989938
He's from a wealthy family and gets the best of everything all for free, so his life could be a much bigger nightmare, but yeah he definitely is a physically unattractive male with a mental illness. I am also a physically unattractive male with similar levels of mental illness and I wouldn't call it nightmare mode though, you can do a lot with your life still. Even without the resources her brother has behind him.
>>
>>84989973
It's probably more that being babied by your parents doesn't actually create good outcomes. Parents who prioritise building confidence and independence tend to create much better outcomes for their children. Being forced to do things you don't want to do is actually pretty good for you in the long run.

Especially in America. When middle class girls in America turn 16 their parents buy them a fucking car. I bet the boys just get told to go get a job if they want one. But he gets to break curfew more because they worry less about him so in her mind it means he's the favourite.

>When middle class girls in America turn 16 their parents buy them a fucking car.

i was a smartypants who got into a good sixth form (back when it was EARNED, not GIVEN) and this was worryingly common. i just didn't really pal around with middle-class people before then. suddenly there were these teenagers not working and their mams and dads just bought them shiny new cars for their 16th.

one of those weird experiences where you realise some people just live in this whole different world to you.

They probably got babied because they're autistic mongs who get bullied and were doomed from the start. There was a thread on one of the UK subreddits asking about people with shut in family members and all the women were resentful of their coddled autistic brothers who stay at home and don't work. Women think autism is just a quirky personality type that doesn't stop you living life. In reality as an autistic man your life outcome is horrific, basically down syndrome tier

Mate everyone in state schools had designer clothes and good phones. Do you not remember chavs. If they were so working class why did they wear Burberry. Lmao. Come on lad.
Actual wealthy people don't base their status off material goods anyway. You know the people who are actually making real money while you argue about which pleb is more poor than the other in which being more poor = being more cool or hard or something.

Most women able to live abroad aren't doing hard work. They're just on some comfy language teaching course where they are easily preferred to men. They never get to the levels of sadness I get at.

It's how things were. If you don't get it you're probably middle class yourself.
No no actually you know what nevermind mate you're right the coolest thing in a state school was to come in the door with all your latest Asda George clobber on that was how we did things back then. Bell end don't tell me how things worked when you probably weren't even born.

that would've been too fancy for any of my schools. Pretty sure those buildings were going on 40 years old, even back then.

it's probably worth watching Skins. the cracks really set in around series 3, but even series 1-2 (the 'good' ones) are pretty ridiculous.

it's difficult to write teenagers but i'm pretty sure they just made stuff up. 'watch the frequency, Kenneth' and whatnot. it's not intended to be realistic but i'd prefer a grounded, down-to-earth show. or just one that's actually funny like The Inbetweeners.

welcome back
originally it was 2am but i don't trust that someone can sleep for just two hours and get anything from it (give or take ~1 hour to actually go to sleep, get ready, walk, all that)

maybe it's actually breddy gud.

pic notrel. funny idea but as a sitcom-thing it just feels really...simplistic? i dunno.

Can't miss this one me especially as it is still 0-0.

I struggle to laugh at British comedy. Only ones I like are The Office and One Foot in the Grave.

Did someone unplug their USB again?

All good, mate. Had a catch up had a smoke, he was mashed already and we talked shit. I only see him at the weekend if he's home.
Wish I had LSD I feel like being cosmic desu.

I like the DERP faces you can get in the CAPTCHAs, I might collect them.

Watching on my Xbox One S. That sound freaked me out.

VAR must be using Windows. They should switch to GNU/Linux rather than depend on American software.

i can find a sitcom comfy even if it's not laugh-out-loud hilarious. like Red Dwarf has sci-fi scrapes and Goodnight Sweetheart is about time travelling to the Blitz or something.

was worried when Peep Show and the Ricky Gervais stuff started like, 'oh this is going to be EVERY sitcom now, isn't it?' but nah. a /britfeel/ fella recommended Extras to me and it's good but it's sort of its own thing.

It's so hot in the stadium the commentators laptops have stopped charging because the power supplies are overheating. That's why you heard the Windows unplug tone through their mics.
>>
64 minutes in and the French can't even score one goal. Embarrassing. Might be another match fix.

whoa that sounds lush. i've got some LSD in but it's not my thing, maybe some point in the future (set + setting, and all that).

friend cannot sleep because of the neighbouring flat where the guy has vocal Tourette's (he keeps going 'WOOO!') so maybe she'll come round now with en*rgy dr*nks MAYBE

what are you and everyone else up to tonight? anyone doing non-match stuff?

I wonder how that lad is. In my school we had a lad rip his balls off on the school railings. Nasty.
