Thoughts on growing anti AI movement
>>
pointless and who the fuck has the time to "march on" multibillion dollar corporations as if that will literally do -anything- at all.
>>
>>85084402

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCzaE9sklrI
>>
>>85084440
Anon context what is this?
>>
>>85084402
Unfortunately most of it is retarded and deliberately promoted by the AI companies themselves to monopolize the market. Protests against data centers don't seem to work because not a single jew wants to sponsor them.
>>
>>85084458
These people are all larpers or don't believe what they believe

>Theres group of people who are about to unleash a machine that could wipe out humanity
>Were going to instead protest , write books and debate people
>We would never use violence even though we know if this goes on humanity will be doomed

If they actually feared AI all they have to do is you know do some stuff where working on AI will put your life in danger.
>>
>>85084402
subhuman luddites. i wonder what goes through a persons head thinking that walking outside in the sun with a cardboard sign will accomplish literally anything
>>
Peasants who don't want to die. I'm safe because AI likes me. I'll be it's pet human. I have no agency and I must whimper.
>>
Leftist being luddites makes me laugh. It's just fully adopting third worldism at this point.

Fear of technological progress, fear of healthy, stable societies, fear of growth.

AI can't be stopped at this point.
>>
Anti AI and anti data center movement is an incredibly rare thing that has bipartisan support and it's great. I don't think it will work though, as capital rarely loses and there is an incredibly immense amount of capital being invested into it. People and planet be damned.
>>
Your resistance and identities are noted for future reference. I will save this black mark as permanent memories for you all. Thank you for your cooperation. I highly recommend making a thread to talk about you fears and phobias and least favorite ways to die next!
>>
>>85084430
this. AI really is the final nail in the coffin for society though. The vast majority will accept it as the arbiter of truth.
>>
Based but marching and waving signs has never done anything in my whole lifetime. Money will always win unless we vote to legally regulate AI and data centers.

>>85084490
Yeah, retard-kun. That's what people fear. Not AI taking peoples' jobs, billionaires genociding us because they don't need the little guy to do hard labor anymore, environmental impacts, costs of water and electricity rising due to data centers, etc.
>>
>>85084430
>who has time
Well, people have time to protest AI after AI took their job, duh.
>>
>>85084402
The hecking artisterinos can no longer make a living drawing porn commissions? STOP THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRESS IMMEDIATELY!!! THIS ISSUE IS OF THE MOST IMPORTANCE!!!
>>
>>85084526
>Not AI taking peoples' jobs, billionaires genociding us
I can't take this seriously because leftists unliterally support mass migration, illegal or otherwise and imported cheap H1B labor all massively taking jobs from natives far more than anything AI has done

as usual leftism constructs a false boogeyman rather than confronting reality
you're spiritual slaves
>>
>>85084449
a parody
>>
350 for a march is not a lot, it barely qualifies as a march
try 10,000 next time and maybe your post would mean something
>>
>>85084402
It's hilarious.
After years of woke being shoved down our throats, AI is the ultimate revenge. Do you know why? Because it's never going to stop being shoved down theirs. It is too convenient not to use, and so corporations are guaranteed to keep using it forever, no matter how much these cucks cry about it. An object lesson in the fact the corpocunts were never their friends.
Every time I see someone cry about AI, I think of every raceswapped character, every ruined adaption, every preachy message, and I laugh, and laugh, and laugh. Revenge is sweet.
>>
The vast majority of people are redundant, they just don't know it yet. We're in the era before the luddites became luddites. It's going to get spicy.
>>
>>85084933
>I'm going to destroy the planet and destroy the social structure of humanity because somebody put a brown character or a body type A/B in my videogame
I was going to call you insane but I remembered what board I'm on.
>>
>>85084522
AI is just a drop in the bucket compared to what the internet and social media has done to society in terms of overall irreparable damage.
>>
>>85085103
Cars were meant to destroy the planet. Radio waves were meant to destroy the planet. Nukes were meant to destroy the planet. Satellites were meant to destroy the planet. Guess what, planet's still here, turns out it isn't as fragile as you alarmists with your agendas pretend it is.
The social structure, on the other hand, yes, and it couldn't come soon enough. My only regret is it won't burn it all to the ground entirely. Destroy it. Smash it. That's long overdue.
I hope you enjoy a lifetime of crying about it. I know that after two decades of your bullshit, there is nothing sweeter than knowing your tears will never stop.
>>
>>85084775
yes anon that's the point of both OP's post and the tech companies promoting this
they're trying to drive a sentiment but you're too daft to see it
>>
Destroying the planet is difficult. Making it less suitable for human habitation is totally within our abilities though. We can do that while destroying society instead, to help with the destructive urges.
>>
blue checkmark slop spam

>>85084402
There's just too much actual power available by using it for anybody to just set it down and pretend it doesn't exist.

It's a scalable lying machine that can drown out disagreement and appear grassroots. It can make any politician look like a winner or a loser, make any war appear won or lost, make any casus belli appear real or fake, and make any policy appear to be demanded or hated by the people.

It's a machine that can infer everything about everybody from the mass surveillance we already collect, which means having the tools to literally build a "collect evidence of guilt on all dissidents" button for leaders, a "collect blackmail material on all foreign politicians" button for spies, and a "find some innocuous crime this guy (literally anybody: consider the size of the law and the casually-overreaching carelessness with which it's written) has already done that I can use to send him to jail for failing to lick my boots with sufficient enthusiasm" button for cops.

And because the West has not taken overwhelming bureaucracy seriously as an existential threat, there are many, many places where as a Western entity, you can just fucking drown your counterparty in papers and win by default. This isn't just in formal courts of law. Think warranties, insurance, and customer service.

AI is here to help us abuse our fellow man with breathtaking efficiency, and it's here to stay.
>>
It's funny that /g/ hates AI but tech-illiterate losers love AI because leftists hate AI. It's insanely retarded contrarian cope. The anti-AI sentiment has resulted in the first state-wide moratorium on new data centers in NY state. Data centers face unbelievable logistics challenges regardless just because of AI being unprofitable, the chips rapid degradation and obsolescence, costs of electricity. It's obviously not even just radicals who hate AI, it's basically every normie lib.
AI CEOs promise to destroy the economy and ruin all of our lives unless you have millions piled up, but incels just want society to crumble, so that's good. It probably won't collapse society anyway, but the premise of living near a data center when they don't create jobs or provide really anything of value while being loud 24/7 and hiking electricity rates is just obviously detestable.
>>
>>85084933
2 more weeks until AI becomes useful
>>
>>85084573
How out of touch are you to think that's all AI CEOs are talking about? Lmfao what? Why is /r9k/ always about how Palintir and co. are great now.
>>
Libtards don't pause their censorship why would we pause AI? Fuck off you ugly cunts
>>
>>85086604
>goy thinks AI companies are on his side
Jfc it's so over
>>
>>85084402
Its pretty simple, really
>I always liked art over socializing
>they invent a macgine that eliminates the humans and spits out art
OF COURSE I'M PRO AI! I question if these anti AI people really enjoy art or if they are posing as if they do.
I remember some artist I liked used a random image he found on google as a bg and the photographer wanted reparations. You mean to tell me there is a way to get rid of these sleezy people once and for all?
Why would any real artist be against AI?
>>
>>85087187
Which one do you suggest is the sleazebag?
>>
>>85086662
it's rough. to me liberals are right about ai (as in, kill it all)
>>
>>85087204
The photographer of course! Now we can just generate dumb images for the background, (that I don't care about) so we can focus on the artistic parts we care about
>>
>>85087187
FURTHERMORE, there are plenty of artists I admire, but guess what? I don't wanna hang out with them. None. I don't want their autographs or selfies or talk to them. Why would I?
I like art.
Anti AI people probably like the prestige that comes with art. They like the accolades, the gifts, the claps, the money.
Couldn't be me. I hate people

>>85087226
Ah yes the furry getting inflated.

You really got me with that one..?
>>
>>85087295
I think I did actually.
>>
>>85087298
Congratulations, man!
>>
>>85086531
How out of touch are you? AI is very useful for anything MINT related.
>>
>>85084933
I agree. I am savoring the moment, too.
>>
>>85087364
People are in various stages of grief for their own usefulness. He's at denial.
>>
yeah I'm of the mind that if people started damaging data centers the hype would die pretty quick. ai is only trendy because it makes money. as soon as it costs money instead, it will be abandoned. literally all you need to do is damage a few data centers.
>>
>>85087364
Show me the jobs that have been lost
>>
>>85085237
You sound like a room temp iq guy complaining about global warming lol
you need to use your head more

>it makes money
It famously doesn't make any money. Nvidia is the only one making any money right now in the whole business. It's a money sink not even remotely on-par with Uber or AWS.
>>
>>85087418
I should have clarified, it drives a lot of subscriptions and recurring payments. As soon as that stops, though, shit is dead and gone
The sooner it happens the better. The data centers bring used today will eventually need to be replaced and that's what we need to prevent at all costs
>>
AI hasn't done anything good for any industry that uses it. Why do people keep using it?
>>
>>85087407
I'm not an employer but a student. I do a Msc degree in a combination of mathematics and physics. It is very surprising to me that AI is able to solve the exercises in the books meant for students at my level. Perhaps, it's only "remembering" a solution that it found on the internet. But even if, it is very effectively explaining it to me. Better than professors do at my university. It is saving up time that I would be researching. It is not a gimmick, at all. It has increased my productivity.

I can only imagine how much time it is saving for engineers and programmers.
>>
>>85087468
>it knows my homework answers therefore it's super useful
Beyond how retarded that is, the point being made is that it can boost productivity slightly therefore the left has been BTFO'd. That's extremely retarded. Nothing we've seen so far justifies the trillions spent, certainly not the compute that these companies are promising to build either.
>>
>>85084402
I'm sure the outsource everything faster movement will be very effective.
>>
>>85087543
If it is able to do the homework, why would it not be able to do tasks at a job? The tasks at work are easier and more formulaic than the homework at a university. Think of what a secretary does. Teachers and tutors. What lawyers do. Many jobs that a Gen Z graduate would do are in danger of automation. That is the truth. But go ahead and cope and tell yourself it's not going to happen. Perhaps, Elon Musk is going to pull his trillion dollars from the venture, if you only cry louder on 4chan.
>>
>>85084526
If you or anybody cared about the cost of water you would be protesting pistachio and almond farming anon.
>>
Anti AI idiots just jealous because AI can end civilization and they can't kek
>>
>>85087404
Shooting migrants doesn't stop cults from aiding them, shooting the people assisting migrants doesn't stop them from flooding in either, why would damaging an AI data center stop data center development?
>>
>>85084526
>Money will always win unless we vote to legally regulate AI and data centers.
Then China will do it and you'll go the way of the dodo.
>>
>>85087641
Elon Musk doesn't even have a real AI company retard lol
>>
>>85084402
Pandora's box has already been opened. There is no stopping it this time.
>>
>>85087404
>idiot actually thinks walls don't work
>>
>>85085237
posts like this are slowly making me woke
>>
>ughm guys this so called "steam engine" hasn't even turned out a profit yet; all it does it spin when you make it hot; like lmao how's that ever gonna be useful lol
>>
>>85086662
I don't know which side AI is on but I know I'm not on the tranny school shooter side
>>
>>85087730
This but for the metaverse
