I reckon I have been unemployed the longest here. I haven't worked since 2011. It's actually not too bad I reckon once you're on universal credit, disability extra payments and PIP. PIP is a right annoyance to get but I believe with enough persistence you can get a lower PIP amount for mental health.

>>85326437yeah i mean i don't keep up with school qualifications, i remember there was a general shift with further education to bring it all under the 'Levels' system so there's less of an academic/vocational split. but the elephant in the room is that kids leave school at 18. it should go back to 16. then they have all these choices. finished their GCSEs? then it's off to do A-levels, an apprenticeship, or basically anything colleges offer. i'm sure an NVQ-type course can offer placements in industry.new system better in some ways.old system better in other ways.
