The filling has vanilla, rum, almond paste, butter, brown sugar and cardamom which gives off a wonderful smell and it tastes very sweet. Combining that with the saffron bun makes it extremely tasty, one bite and you can't stop. Saffron buns are traditional Christmas pastries in Sweden (see pic related) and eaten every Christmas all across Sweden. Combining them with the almond paste filling just compliments them incredibly well and takes it to another level.
