how do you know if someone is serious about taking their own life
I usually just encourage them to kill themselves, and then find out afterwards
thats the neat part: you don't. unless they show signs of totally giving up, like heavy alcohol or drug use, disgusting living conditions and hygiene, withdrawing from friends and loved ones, etc but even then can't really tell

As a notorious suicide spot that is easy to access and close to a town, there are tons of do-gooders patrolling it and calling cops at the slightest hint of a sign in someone going there. Not a dealbreaker but not ideal either.2. It is a shorter fall. At Beachy Head you fall ~150 meters. At Preikestolen you fall 250+ meters at least (slightly more if you run and jump).
