[s4s] was made for one purpose. The people do fulfill the board's purpose, but that isn't what makes this board great.Some time ago, there was funposting, but the funposting also contained genuine respect of others, and what they thought. People helped each other out, while still funposting on the side. That was a time I considered [s4s] as the best place to be. Now? Nobody cares, they just funpost all over the place, and disregard what others say. The magic from the funposting is now gone. It's not funposting anymore, as it's not fun: It's shitposting.You know why many of the nicer namefigs have been leaving? Because the rest of the [s4s] community is now full of /b/tards who want to be ironic just because they want to post shit, like they have no life. This community became poisonous, and the people who recognized it before it was too late decided not to get themselves poisoned from you guys.Now, of course, this could easily be because of a misunderstanding of what [s4s] is, but the problem is not that: it's that nobody that *did* know stood up for it, because they would get easily shot down. They knew that new ideas wouldn't get through your thick skulls. Mob mentality would win all the time.But anyways, this is my explanation for all the drama that has been lately going on in [s4s]. If you are just viewing [s4s] through the /s4s/ board, you don't see the green posts, the posts with letters in their ids, or anything numberless. Together, those make up about 40-70 percent of [s4s], depending on the day. I'm done with this board, Im completely done. The golden age of s4s has come to an end and it's very clear that this board is in rapid decline of quality. There used to be actual memes being posted here every day but now it's just the board where you spam your favorite waifu/anime character every day until it becomes a "meme". That along with those who piggyback off the same old, tired memes of s4s past, never to quite be the same ever again. The namefig/avatarfig quality has also dropped drastically as well. Now it's just the same 5 or so posters who all circlejerk reply to each other, fueling the peddling of their terrible, serially spammed "memes." Give me an ironic reply that takes the piss out of my post, make this into a copypasta, I don't care. If you don't think this board has gone to crap and I mean REALLY gone to crap then you're just deluded and lying to yourself. I expect the same people I've just talked about to post within my thread and do what they do best. Maybe someday in the future I will return to a better [s4s], but for now this board really is the worst it's ever been and I don't see an improvement coming any time soon.
