I need to know how to travel back in time or turn back time (preferably both). Please respond if you have any information on this matter. Thank you.

OK, Yosho, I need to know how to travel back in time or turn back time (preferably both). Please respond if you have any information on this matter. Thank you.

There are only two practical forms of time travel, which are not actually time travel, but rather dislocations:

You can go ``forward'' into the future by slowing down your own time, thereby existing in a state which is moving slower than the rest of the universe.

You can go ``back'' into the past by speeding your own time, thereby existing in a state which is moving faster than the rest of the universe.

Both are not actual instances of time travel, but rather alterations of perspective and state in relation to everything else around you.

True time travel would be on a scale of being able to not merely slow or speed up the passage of time, but to actually reverse it, whereby the flow of perspective and state moves backwards.

Even if you did this, you couldn't create a paradox, because you would be manipulating the current state of matter. Even this form of time travel, a reversal of the flow of events, is merely a deception of perspective: you are altering the present to recreate the past, not actually moving back into the past, but rather presently changing it. Anything that happens after the manipulation would be logically and temporaly tied to the moment where you made the modification, in so far as your own perspective is concerned.

This proves that time is not a concrete existence, but rather a collective agreement regarding changing states. Therefore, there is no true past or future, but rather only an ever-changing present, with recorded ``past'' states and calculable ``future'' states.

If you move near the speed of light, someone staying still will appear to slow down, but from that person's point of view the person moving near speed of light will also appear to slow down

none of this helps

have you considered approaches other than time travel to whatever problem you're trying to solve?
>>
>>12584774
it's quite possible ...doc
>>
>>12584737
lightspeed travel doesnt allow you to go back in time, only go forward in time more slowly relative to anyone who is not traveling at lightspeed

yes and time travel is the only solution

the problem

which is?
>>

if I was willing to tell you what it is I would have already
>>
>>12584796
you got that half right

>lightspeed travel doesnt allow you to go back in time
true

>only go forward in time more slowly relative to anyone who is not traveling at lightspeed
well kinda true but you're missing some of the picture, the person traveling at near lightspeed has to eventually slow down in order for the person "not traveling at lightspeed" to have aged more

i know its confusing XD
>>
this is coz if one person is traveling near lightspeed and the other isnt, from both points of view the other will have slowed down
>>
>>12584863
Yeah you're right, I think I learned that when I was 12 so it's been a minute :P

i learned the reciprocality of length contraction and time dilation only when i was like 20 something

i think it's from something called The Eyewitness To Science, which also explains why light travels in a straight line in a mindblowing way

nobody gives a shit what your problem is you stupid fucking kid you think youre so mysterious and important because you have some secret pain lmao let me guess you said something retarded to a girl 8 years ago and its been eating you alive ever since

Thanks for explaimnign it, Yuji :^)
I think I learned about it on the programme NOVA we watched that a ton when I was a kid

You can go back in time using a wormhole, which is an extreme disfiguration of spacetime itself. However, a wormhole is a theoretical construct and has never been observed. It is also unlikely a human being could fit through one (that's why it's called a "wormhole" haha).
>>
>>12584923
I think the easiest way would be to either wait for the big crunch and re-expansion of the universe to try again, or (more likely at this point I think given the doppler observations regarding our increasing expansion rate) wait for the P-brane hosting our universe to collide with another resulting in another big bang, then try again :^)

is there a way to make a wormhole? Theoretically, of course.
>>
>>12584964
look it up on wikihow i guess
>>
>>12584964
make a rocket ship or other computer program to find one then make a rocket ship, or steal one then travel to the wormhole although you may just end up stranded on OGLE 2017, you could also explore physics round black holes and make a breakthrough of the singularity this would at the very least fix your problems by engulfing the earth
