and this is point contact by the way, if they really were aliens they were severely underdeveloped technologically speaking because transistor tech evolved in just a few decades from this to something that's impossible to reverse engineer even with today's tech due to it's size

The transistor was just an optimization of an existing technology that was already in use, aliens didn't give us conditional logic nor electricity, the physics behind semiconductor-based transistors was already well understood even in 1947 and the experimental work that led to their mass production is well documented.

Why would the aliens give us the super advanced transistor that can't be reverse engineered? We wouldn't even be able to make another. It makes way more sense for them to just teach us how to make a simple transistor, so we understood how they work, and then just leave the rest to us.

Just because they started humans on transistors 101 doesn't mean they're primitive and don't understand how to make advanced transistors themselves
