Bayonettas has such polished gameplay, design and music that its kinda sad knowing that alot of people just think of it as a "gooner" game, even tho it really isnt, honestly just think its as "unpopular" because all the latest games are stuck on the switch :<
The game is just as good if bot better thrn other hack and slash games and i consider it to be at the same level as Dmc if not a bit higher.

It's way better than DMC.
It was a total surprise when Nintendo bought Platinum Games. Though Switch emulation has come pretty far, but I guess that's beyond the average normalfag.
If I remember correctly Bayonetta's creator said that he originally planned for 7 games.
On an unrelated note, I hate Viola's gameplay.
It just felt so clumsy compared to Bayonetta's.
They also did Jean dirty.

I used to hate Violas gameplay as well but after years i discorverd that shes actually quite fun when you get the hang of it, i do agree they did Jeanne so dirty and totally dismissed her friendship with Cereza... doomed yuri.
Ive played dmc and dmc gameplay is nowere near as fun bayos gameplay.
Ive only played trough dmc1-3, 3 bring the best. It kinda reminds me of bayo.

I understand that the series isn't more well-known because it's a Nintendo exclusive, but it seems weird given how popular other Switch games are. And it's even weirder when everyone I've seen talking about the game says the combat system is fine as hell.
