I just finished watching season 1 of BNHA: Vigilantes. I really liked it a lot! It had a great OP and Knuckle-Duster was the best character. I read that he stops being a main character after the arcs in the first season so I don't think I'm going to keep watching it anymore. I'm really frustrated with this author. It's like he intentionally does everything he can to prevent his manga series' from being fun or exciting whenever he can. All of the powers are extremely lame and the cool characters are quickly gotten rid of or taken out of focus.

>>12840643The power system is so incredibly lame.Pop step's quirk is that she can jump off of things better than normal people are able to jump. One of the heroes has engines in his calves that let him run fast for a bit.Captain Celebrity is just a generic combination of able to fly and really strong.
>>12840647 That’s kinda the point though, isn’t it? Vigilantes isn’t trying to be peak shonen power escalation brainrot, it’s basically “what if the dudes with mid-tier quirks had to scrape by without hero licenses.” Of course the powers are lame, they’re the leftovers. Pop Step bouncing around like a cracked-out parkour gremlin is more fun to watch than another laser-beam demigod #47. And Knuckleduster literally just beating the shit out of people with no quirk is raw as hell. It’s grounded street-tier stuff. Not everything needs to devolve into city-busting aura nukes by episode 12. Captain Celebrity being a store-brand Superman is intentional too, he’s a parody of the flashy top hero archetype contrasted with these goobers doing alleyway cleanup. If you’re watching BNHA spinoffs for giga-hype power fantasies you’re gonna stay mad. If you want washed-up dads and dumb kids punching crackheads on rooftops at 2am, it’s kino.
>>12840843The powers are lame in the main series too.Like the retard with sticky hair, or a girl whose power is being a frog. And All Might is just generic strong power.
