Karaoke time with bavi dude! I'm had a good nap after work today and I'm 3 Whiteclaw surges in and I'm ready to busy out more karaoke.

I like to think I specialize in retro oldies country/western. I've really been experimenting with yodeling and I'm a bit self-conscious about it. Here's a song where I dip into it a little bit, especially during the chorus.

I used to be a Tenor 1, even into alto ranges when I got most of my singing practice, but I finally passed puberty and dropped into deep bass range when I hit my mid-30s.

So I like to work into this and do deep bass/baritone ranges if I can. This song is already a deep Tenor 2/Baritone 1 range, so it's already pretty deep, but I think it sounds pretty good dropping a full octave and bringing it fully into Bass 2 territory. The "big iron on his hip" during the chorus is pushing my deeper range with the octave drop, but I think I pulled it off. I can do it in the original octave too. Thoughts?

Slightly drunken rant, but I really think people need to sing more! It used to be such a common, normal thing for humans to do, we'd get together and we'd sing and dance and have fun. But now we isolate ourselves and listen to songs on spotify and tell ourselves that because we can't sing like that, our voice doesn't deserve to be heard. But that's not true. Everyone can sing! And everyone should sing! It's a part of the human experience that makes life worth living! Sing!
