Helpful life-tip for my fellow autists: If you're super autistic like me, looking at someone when they're talking to you doesn't come naturally. It's a conscious act that you practice so you can at least reach the baseline level of basic social interaction with normies.

But here's the mistake we all make when we do this. We're told to make eye contact and look them directly in the eyes. DO NOT DO THIS!!

Normies call it eye-contact, but they're really just looking at someone's face when they talk, not directly at their eyes. If you look directly at someone's eyes when having a conversation, it's seen as aggressive. Basically you're staring them down. Instead just look at their mouth or nose. Looking at their mouth can actually help you understand what they're saying. But the center of the face is where normies are looking when having a regular conversation, not the eyes.

Start doing this and normies will immediately start seeing you as friendly and more approachable and less creepy.

Thank you.
I always stare other then their face when I talk with new people. When I'm comfortable enough with them then I get to look at them. Cough* its very uncomfortable when majority would stare my heart. I'm very reserved person after all~

bat > rat
batrat > ratbat
ratbat > batrat

Your fortune: You will meet a dark handsome stranger

You feign kindness for all the wrong reasons, just like this post.
Oh but what the fuck does it matter being rude anyways when eye contact is rude and looking away is also rude.
It’s almost like communication is cursed??
Who would’ve ever known

yeah, actually locking eyes with someone for any length of time is aggressive and weird, though looking people directly in the eyes briefly is normal

I naturally look down at chest level, but then have to remember not to do that when talking to women, because they will think im staring at their boobs.
